Sorry if this has already posted in this thread.

But someone needs to post the video highlights of the QB at Lucky's high school. Holy Cow! I don't know if he's the best high school senior QB in the nation but he's damn close. I think his name is Nathan Rourke and the high school is Edgewood Academy somewhere in Alabama. He's from Canada and moved there for his senior years. Something like 56 touchdown passes in 12 games!
Yeah - someone posted an article about him over on the shag. High school coach said that he's spoken with Haley about him and was told that Texas numbers for QB right now are pretty tight but that they were going to give him a look.

I am still sick that we have not given Trevor Speights a serious look.  I hope it is because it is a numbers issue at RB, but it seems like we are just not doing a very good job with in-state kids, even the ones who wanted to be Longhorns initially.  He has offers from Stanford, Rice, Vandy etc. which shows it damned sure isn't a grade issue.  Offers from OU, A&M, Mizzou, Tennessee, Arizona among others shows it isn't an ability issue.  The kid is breaking all kinds of records.  Has no off field issues.  I get that we can't take them all, but at the same time how does A&M and OU offer and we don't even pay attention?  Hope he goes to Stanford because I don't want to face him in October.

Anyone interested can see his playoff game tonight here.

Don't know how much weight this has but Higdon had a chat the other day and something peaked my interest. He said that there is a top recruit committed elsewhere who has told the Texas coaches he is coming and he is recruiting others to come as well. Let the speculations begin.

Not sure how to post GIFs but this one is worth a click for a laugh and felt relevant as a reaction to your post

Could he have been referencing Curtis, who was committed to Georgia and close friends with Whaley?

If true, my money would be on DL Kendell Jones.

If that's the case, then Higs definition of TOP recruit and mine are polar opposites.  I like Curtis and think he will good down the line, but I don't consider him a top recruit right now. Solid, but not top.

After what I saw tonight from Chris Warren, Whaley probably needs to go somewhere he can play. We seem to be well stocked at RB. We need OL and DL playmakers and more LBs.

Was thinking the same about the RB's as I was watching the game, now looks like we're too set at the position. Not from a coaches POV obviously, but maybe for a recruit trying to decide where he can fit in best.

What the Horns have here is a massive dumpster fire. Why would anyone who has a choice want to join in?
