Another one too now -- do they know something?  or they guessing?
Barber is pretty selective in who he CB's - so I'm guessing he might have heard something.  Probably not definitive, but its enough to make him put in a CB.

The other guy is a national guy for Bleacher Report that puts in CB's for everyone.  I'd say the chances of him knowing something are probably pretty low.

*Poster from another site said that Barber DM'd him and told him that he had some info on Whaley and thats why he made the CB.

Texas Longhorns Recruiting Update: Charlie Strong Has Work Cut Out

The Charlie Strong saga is getting a little foggy right now.

Strong has gone 11-14 in two seasons in Austin, Texas. The record really, really doesn't help, but the premise Strong has based his job on was the need to recruit his own guys. The only problem is it's beginning to appear that the players Strong needs might not be interested in playing for him.

The Longhorns finished with the No. 10 overall recruiting class in the 2015 cycle, but now they're sitting at No. 48 in the 2016 recruiting cycle -- with just 12 commits going into the new year.

The last recruit to commit to Texas was Davion Curtis, the No. 117 overall wide receiver, who pledged to the Longhorns on Nov. 19.

Strong has a lot of work to do in order to get Texas back up the class rankings. January is going to be very important for the Longhorns to try and close out on some official visits.

Note: 247Sports Composite rankings and star ratings used.

January 15
Lil'Jordan Humphrey - 3 stars, No. 23 ATH (Uncommitted)
Devwah Whaley - 4 stars, No. 4 RB (Uncommitted)
Jeffrey McCulloch - 4 stars, No. 7 OLB (Uncommitted)
Zach Shackelford - 3 stars, No. 61 OG (Kansas State)
Davion Curtis - 3 stars, No. 117 WR (Texas)
Brandon Jones - 5 stars, No. 1 S (Uncommitted)

January 16
Mark Jackson Jr - 4 stars, No. 15 Weak-side DE (Texas A&M)
Denzel Okafor - 3 stars, No. 18 OG (Texas)
Obi Eboh - 3 stars, No. 38 CB (Texas)
Tope Imade - 3 stars, No. 37 OG (Texas)
Deontay Anderson - 4 stars, No. 3 S (Uncommitted)
Gerald Wilbon - 3 stars, No. 48 DT (Texas)

January 22
DeMarkus Acy - 3 stars, No. 60 S (Missouri)

January 23
Michael Williams - 4 stars, No. 27 DT (Stanford)

January 30
Kelvin Lucky - unranked Weak-side DE (Uncommitted)

As mentioned earlier, the Texas Longhorns recruiting class currently sits at No. 48 in the latest 247Sports Composite rankings. Below is a class overview, as well as the top commits and targets still on Texas' big board.

Per Inside Texas, the Under Armour people are going to tape the commitment of CB Eric Cuffee and air it at some point on Saturday.

Another Delance to Texas (from some PSU guy)

update - now 2 more

If I were Whaley and I looked at the stable of stud RBs we have and how piggy is losing their top two RBs, I might go piggy.

IMO, with the way Whaley is built, he is college-ready today.

Besides, I like Darius Anderson anyway.  He might not fit the current mold Strong likes, but he is a homerun threat every time he touches the ball.  If you watched his school in the playoffs then you know what I mean.

In the end, we might end up with only one RB commit.  If so, I hope it means its because we loaded up on the DL or OL.

Deontay Anderson --

“I love Coach Strong and Coach Vaughn.  Of course, we talked about how Coach Vaughn came to my house. What he said about the plan for me really caught my eye. He said how I could come in early and make an impact. I love how he teaches and coaches. We are both visual learners, so that’s why we have a great connection.â€

Houston has some good looking players. We might need to look at hiring Tony Levine if he was the one responsible for recruiting all these dogs.

2 more CBs for Jean Delance and Texas. Please let this come true. I hope these guys heard something and its not just wishful thinking from Penn State and Notre Dame guys

Texags had an interview with the Shark, here is one of his answers

-- "The level of comfort [at Texas] is just so high ... higher than anywhere else at this point. It's right down the road, and I've been a big fan since I was little."

Sounds like the UA Game people are trying to acomodate Cuffee's desire to announce by offering to tape it opposed to live.  Varying accounts whether he will or not

And Nahlin says people at the game say he's one of the best DB's in attendance this week.

He has been a Texas fan his whole life. He used to wear Texas gear to school all the time.

I didn't want to quote that long list by Juan, but I want everybody on that list. Too much? Can we get rid of Oliver, Grey, Colbert, Cole, Hodges, and anybody else that doesn't really fit to make room. To help with the 50 rule. Alabama gets away with it.

Per Texags DE Jackson may be wavering big time.
