The news made it sound much worse than it was. Soso was a gentleman and was never in any real trouble.

I met him yesterday. It's hard to explain but if you didn't know who he was (millionaire, celebrity, football coach) it's like talking to one of your buddies or someone you would like to be friends with. It's very obvious why his home visits are "where the magic happens". I wasn't going to share this but... My best friend was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of cancer and was going to be hospitalized for an extended amount of time. I emailed coach Strongs assistant and explained the situation and asked if he would possibly send a note of encouragement. Long story short. Coach Strong wrote him a letter, told him that he and the entire program would be praying for him and to keep his "Horns Up". He gave him an autographed picture and a "#letsride" bracelet. He did this right after the OK State game (I'm sure it wasn't the best time of the season for him). I can't express how much I want Charlie Strong to succeed.

I enjoy reading both your posts, opinions, etc.  MB has gotta admit, SHA called it on Ole Mi$$.  I cant tell if SHA has some type of divine intervention charm but everyone has to admit its hella funny just a few days after you both tangling over SEC paying ...then this story comes out.

Don't read too much into t-shirts. Especially ones a kid recently received.

The handler thing is serious. Now, the key will be whether we have a kid who (or parents) will say "thanks but no thanks." Some kids (and parents) will do that wisely because they suspect it will come back to them later.

There have been numerous cases where "handlers" were in play. A couple of them were higher profile kids (kid that went to oregon/baylor, kid that went to aggy with new wheels, etc). None of those kids ended up at Texas.

I never disputed that recruits were getting benefits. (go see my post in the Ole Miss thread) But to listen to people here it is some million dollar industry. How are thousands of kids with social media keeping all this hush hush? I mean come on. A good reporter could blow this wide open very easy.(maybe someday they will)

Should I just put you in the middle of the room and let you argue with yourself? LOL Its so nice of you to build and tear down your own argument. Now, let me clean up your little mess here.

1. Saban to Texas - documented. What I said was correct. Then Mack Brown happened. Again, it's been well documented. So why is it you can recognize where I might have been wrong, but are totally incapable of recognizing whats right?

2. Daylon Mack was indeed seriously contemplating Texas, and at one point had decided to. Again – well documented – the Chavis/Sumlin visit during the 11th hour saved the day for aggy. He said that himself.

3. Funny you mention the Strong thing. For the weeks after I reported this, the concept of Strong's job in play became prevalent in the media and on Saturday broadcasts. Things change, but I'm puzzled why you can't seem to associate "like things." You know, who said something first and such. lol

4. As for Malik, I think you're confused. I've never said Malik was getting paid to head to aggie. You confused Malik with Mack. And again, that stuff was also documented (wts).

I truly wish you would read last year's thread. It would save me this type of trouble. lol
