Does anyone know how accurate JC Shurburtt generally is?  Just put in a CB for Taylor to LSU, and Jones to A&M
He just put in about 15 CB's right in a row.  He's not someone with inside info - rather he puts in as many CB's as possible to get as many points as he can.  He has about a 66% hit rate.

This happens a lot towards NSD. Analysts try to get a bunch of predictions in. He just put in about 15 CBs.

My understanding is LSU isn't even recruiting Taylor.

Very interesting update here

Chris DanielsRivals.com
Euless (Texas) Trinity Rivals250 defensive tackle and Oklahoma commitment Chris Daniels has had a busy Sunday.

First he returned home from his official visit to Texas, then he caught up with coaches from Ohio State, and then he hosted Texas A&M assistant coach Mark Hagen.

Texas jumped into the race for Daniels a day before his announcement to Oklahoma, and the visit allowed him to take a long look into the Longhorn program.

“I knew a little bit about Texas, but I never took a visit,†Daniels said. “When I took the visit first off all I liked the environment. Second, I liked the fact one of my teammates (Patrick Vahe) was there. Third of all I was talking to coach Strong and the staff and they said the team is 80-percent black athletes so if they’re 80-percent black athletes why not have 80-percent black coaches and things like that and he can actually relate to us. I thought it was pretty cool.â€

Another aspect of the Texas program also caught his attention.

“That coach says he could see me coming out there and getting a lot of PT as a freshman,†Daniels said. At first I was kind of nervous because what if I don’t do good. But they had three All-American freshmen come out of Texas, so I feel if they can do it I can do it too.â€

Texas A&M’s Sunday visit also made a strong impression.

“It was nice,†Daniels said. “He was kind of refreshing me. I don’t know if you knew this but they were my No. 1 at first. I was going to commit and all that kind of stuff. He was just telling me that I was their No. 1 and he was refreshing me on why they were my No. 1. It was giving me memories back and everything so that’s why I changed my visit from Ohio State to Texas A&M on the 29th.â€

They were a few reasons why Texas A&M stood out at one time.

“Because they were SEC. The SEC in my mind is the best conference,†Daniels said. “Also they’re in Texas. At one point I really, really wanted to stay in Texas, and not be too far away.â€

After the last few days, it is reasonable to ask just how strong Daniels’ commitment is. He characterizes it as a “strong,†commitment, and he there is a big reason why the Sooners currently remain at the top.

“To be honest, not only are they my day one, but even when stuff was getting hard and A&M kind of left they always stayed with me,†Daniels said. “They’re loyal.â€

Daniels plans to take his next official visit to Tennessee on January 22, and take his final official visit to Texas A&M on January 29.

Bob Stoops will make his in-home visit with the Daniels family on Monday, and Tennessee will make an in-home visit on Thursday. Charlie Strong will make an in-home visit next Monday and then Kevin Sumlin will visit that Wednesday.
Not sure to make of the 80% black thing comments. Why even bring it up?

We lead for Jackson (LB from Houston) now.

Ole Miss is up to the u$sual SEC games re Deontay Anderson.

The Southall romance was short-lived, I'm hearing.

Mother Jones made a follow up call today to Charlie. It went VERY well.

Southall was a contingency. Only regret is having him and Daniels there at same weekend. Southall is OU bound. Daniels is still very much in play.

Taylor is looking very good right now. Wilbon has helped us, but the visit was killer.

LSU is loaded already and is slow playing Christmas-Giles. He's a contingency for them. We're looking very good right now.

Jackson really likes us.

There are things with Brandon Jones that we have that give us an advantage. We've won mom over now but there was something about Charlie that allowed this to happen.

50-50 chances Wilbon stays on the DL once he arrives.

So how many DT's you think we end up with SHA?

Every time a recruit wants to go to an SEC school people start the $$ BS. Good lord... So aggy

I see Wilbon and Daniels overlapping at the same position as NTs

I see DCG, Taylor, Southall and Logan as 3-tech DTs

Fitzgerald and Roach (and JMad) are SSDEs (with one or even both possibly growing into future DTs)

Fowler and Mark Jackson are Foxes

Per Higs:

"I thought everyone knew exactly what I was talking about with Tommie Robinson going to Southern Cal. Again, I believe it will be a 3 year deal run game coordinator and running back coach"

Higs also confirmed this was his "Bad News" from last month and then says "now everyone must wait for the equal and opposing reaction"

As far as position coaches go, Robinson's group has performed better than the position groups of most of our other assistants

In addition, we have recruited well at RB since he has been here

Give him however much credit you want for that, but those are the facts.
