SignUp Now!jordan is #149 on the espn 300 rivals must be stupid or something.Looking at the top 250, I think we have legit shots at getting Cameron Townsend, Soso Jamabo, Keke Coutee. We lead on all three of those guys.
There's about 10-15 other guys we are in play for, but at this moment I would say there's a good chance we get all three of those guys above.
Kind of why I don't like Rivals. There's no reason Jordan Stevenson shouldn't be in the top 250, a current Longhorn commit. He's in the top 250 on 247.
Curious what makes a school "popular". Is it ESPN hype and coverage? Is it new uniforms? Is it not having to go to class?Really stinks to see that young men are starting to feel that Texas is not a "popular" school...doesn't take much to fall from Grace does it. This upcoming season is big, the team needs to look and feel different.

Or is it something else? $$$?![]()
Agree completely. Both must happen:us recruit him hard and Texas must have a better year on the field.Mack is a guy that Texas needs to push for all season long. Rumph and Strong need to live in Gladewater. Not only is Mack one of the best DTs to come out of the state in a couple of years, but he's a Jake Raulerson type leader of the class. I don't think it's impossible to switch him, but we are going to need Strong to have a really good first year and aggy to drop off to have a chance IMO. The fact that we do have a new coaching staff has opened the door slightly. Had we kept Mack and the previous staff we would have had zero shot.
“It’s not anything to worry about. I still like Texas a lot. Honestly I think I would rather go by myself instead of to their junior day. I’d rather catch them another time where it’s not crowded with too many people. That would give me more time with the staff and would allow me to not be rushed when meeting them.”

I'm looking forward to meeting them, but the main thing is meeting coach Strong. Ever since he was at Louisville, what he did with Teddy Bridgewater, I could see myself in that role. That's going to be a highlight for me. I've heard he's a great guy, a great coach."

"I've talked to coach Koenning. He said he doesn't have a lot to do with offering. I haven't even played a snap for varsity yet. Mississippi State did take a chance on me so they're my number one," White said. "If Texas took a chance on me, that would be the biggest thing in my recruitment."

"I'm so excited for this trip, I can't even explain. Just to be able to have opportunity to go to Texas is a blessing. I have a lot of family in Houston, so they might be able to come see me," White said. "If I ever go there, my grandmother could come see me play, so that would be huge for me. My mom's whole side of the family lives in Houston. And meeting coach Strong, as a man, that's a great accomplishment in my eyes. That will be a big moment in my recruitment."
