2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

The only break in the Hill to UT CBs has been the one from Wilson

(which I  wrote about at the time, back some pages)

Colt Barber just CBed Hill to Texas.

Can you please remind me of the source of the report that they were flipping to aggy?

I was late this morning (had to go to airport - i have a long story for you guys about that some day)

Hamm reported, shortly after Kyler reaffirmed his commitment, that AtM wasn't out of it on Boyd and Hill yet.  Shortly thereafter Boyd and Hill both retweeted Sumlins '#WHOSNEXT' tweet and everyone lost their shit and multiple Texas fan sites crashed (but not this one).

If Hamm was confident he would flip his crystal balls to A&M. He hasn't yet.

Perhaps this is another sign ..... confirmed CB Sheldrick Redwine is not visiting this weekend.

Has to be a good indication on H & B

Otherwise, makes no sense

Redwine is good, and he is physical at line of scrimmage like Strong likes corners

Hill, Boyd & Davis + Johnson & Elliott at safety = a great DB haul

If we can add Baker, then all the better (he is only 16)

I don't think there's a doubt the staff has been told by both Hill and Boyd they are coming to Texas. Matter of fact, I think it happened yesterday. Georgia released something on 247 that said Baker was told by the Texas staff they were expecting good news on Friday.

Now it's just a matter of Boyd and Hill keeping to their commitment. Surely, it didn't shift in 24 hours but I've seen crazier in recruiting.

I know Ketch is an asshat, but he said the A&M staff was apparently told yesterday that Boyd/Hill were headed to Texas. I don't trust a word Ketch says, but the timeline makes sense to me.

Random thoughts:

I had real concerns that Ketch went too far out on the Murray to UT limb recently... he did

Murray not picking UT is no reason to think the sky is falling, as SHA said, he would have been the cherry on top of this class

Friend of mine went over to Shaggy last night after Murray re-committed to aggy, said is was f-bomb food fight - I am so pleased this is a serious adult site

Keeping a legacy commit, I suspect aggy everywhere will continue to gloat, chest pump and generally show their asses on websites, tweets, etc.

Following recruiting here and another site I frequent, I think we get Davis, Mack, Hill & Boyd. Of those Mack is the most important.

Lodge will go to Miss. and Bossett (sic) will pick LSU.

IMO, the most important target on the table right now is Locksley - he is FSU commit but at times seemed to be leaning to UT? - to me he is a MUST get.

We also need another DT or two.

Hook 'Em!
" I think we get Davis, Mack, Hill & Boyd. Of those Mack is the most important. "Check mark on all that you said. Well put. Especially that call.

At this point we have seemingly turned two very good corners away because the numbers just don't add up.  This leads me to conclude that our staff is confident that we finish out our secondary with Boyd and Hill.  If we weren't confident, we would be bringing other kids in.

I'd be shocked if Boyd chooses aggy.  He has done an excellent job with his production on twitter to get everyone on edge and second guessing the indications.  The guy is a 'Texas' guy and his brother is definitely a 'Texas' guy.  At the end of the day, he may be intrigued by aggy but his heart seemingly is a Longhorn.  This is similar to the Kyler Murray situation in that he seemingly was intrigued and interested with us, but ultimately his heart led him to aggy.

We shall see how it turns out.  Let's get some momentum heading into the weekend!  #Letsride

That kinda defeats the purpose of the Crystal Ball.
No, you can still make your predictions.

You aren't right or wrong until the LOIs are signed and delivered anyway. But, yes, it does add to the drama, click bait, and subscriptions.

Ryan Newsome...

Being reported on other sites that Sheldrick Redwine isn't taking his OV to Austin because he got another offer from Miami and is flipping his commit.

If there was ANY chance of them not being solid, then you let Redwine and Carlton Davis visit

This part of things is very simple

If this was not the case, then it is what I would call poor risk management (subject to other descriptions, of course)

Ryan Newsome...
I don't think Newsome ever knew where he wanted to go. I said from the beginning I wasn't positive Newsome was going to pick Texas because we had apparently backed off him for about a month. I don't think Newsome ever changed his mind, he never knew where he wanted to go really at any time. Let me put it this way, I think both Boyd and Hill have been locked in as Longhorns much more than Newsome ever was.
