hope we can get some good news or something lol next week to stop the bleeding here

I'm betting that:

1. Davis doesn't make that trip to Auburn, or

2. He visits Auburn as a Texas decommit.

Besides flipping Irvin from us, and possibly Davis and Burt, they may be robbing tOSU of 4-star QB Torrance Gibson who just visited them.

A month ago, dude had no interest there.

I'm not worried about DBs, we will land good players at that position. I'm more interested to see what happens at RB, WR OL and DT.

We are currently at 24 commits (23 technically since Merrick is a grey shirt). Let's say Major doesn't qualify and Davis jumps ship that leaves us at 21 commits (meaning we would have 10 scholarships).

DB:
Holton Hill, Kris Boyd, Xavier Lewis, Mark Fields, Ronnie Hoggins, and Sheldrick Redwine.

RB:
Chris Warren, Nicholas Brossette, and Soso Jamabo

WR:

Ryan Newsome, John Burt and Carlos Strickland.

QB:

Kai Locksley

DT:

Kevin Scott

I think we land 7 or 8 out of that group. If I were nitpicking I hope we go after another offensive lineman and/or defensive tackle. Some random name will pop up before national signing day, I hope it's on the offensive lineman or defensive tackle.

Through many years of following recruiting I have learned a few things. It is never as good as it sounds. It is never as bad as it sounds. With 18 year old kids nothing is for sure until that ink drys on signing day. We are going to end up with a really good class, but will probably keep changing. This I am 50-50 on for sure 😉 #letsride

Recruiting has certainly changed. Every time I log onto Twitter someone else has decommitted. Elite WR, KJ Hill, has decommitted from Arkansas. Guessing he's headed to Bama, but he also had interest in Auburn. If he's headed to Auburn not sure how that would impact Burt, but I think he's probably headed to Bama.

i had a gut feeling when texas had a big momentum with kids committing to Texas something in me just said "Something crazy is gonna happen by time January hits..." You win some you lose some but when one door closes another one opens

A&M made an interesting WR coach hire, Virginia Tech WR coach Aaron Moorehead.

That's important in terms of recruiting because of Lodge. Lodge to A&M was dependent on the aggys hiring Wyatt. Lodge is wide open IMO. Texas needs to get him on campus. I think Ole Miss is the leader but he could honestly end up anywhere.
