The other thing to keep an eye on with Burt is 1) there's a lot of rumors of Malzahn being a top target for he 49ers. 2) Locksley and Burt are pretty close. What type of impact would Locksley have on Burt?

Still a long way until NSD.

Here's what Higdon said about Burt, "If it were up to John Burt he would go to Texas, and he has expressed that. But the father is adamant about his son for whatever reason not going to Texas. Lots of drama with this situation to say the least. John would "like" Texas to continue to recruit him, and I do not believe they have the room to take him at this point in time. This kid is VERY good so for me to say they have no room is something serious."

If Malzahn goes to the niners, that could give the kid some pause.

You need some "angry" on the field to be sure. We have had a few here and there, but it was forced. Now we get some pure bred anger. It was be infectious on the field for both sides.

Auston Banks talked to Wilkerson.

He is looking for a scholarship and does not seem interested in being a walk on.

Also sounds like interest is picking up.  For example, SMU just offered.

I'm old. What is snap chat? .....
It's one of those apps that will supposedly permanently delete your texts, pics, videos .... after a certain amount of time.  Mainly used by celebs who just cant stop taking more nekkid selfies (and sexting minors).

Higdon has suggested we may not have room anymore even for  ..............  John Burt.

Pretty shocking considering he was our only elite commit for a long time.

Also, there may be another WR name creeping into the discussion

so far does anybody know how they are looking right now and what targets could be possible commits down the road after the OV's?

There is a 4-star WR at Booker T. Washington in Miami, same school as Davis and Clarington.  His name is Antonio Calloway and he has offers from Bama, Auburn, USC, Miami, Florida, and more.  He had a knee injury before the season ended but some of the Florida people think he is best in-state receiver (the perception is that Booker T. is the best public high school football team in the state, playing in the toughest district).

Slot guy (5'11, 185) with great speed  http://247sports.com/Player/Antonio-Callaway-49719

Seems late in the game, but perhaps our ties with his teammates could make a difference?

Sort of the perfect year for us to go into Florida and leave with players (Gators changing coaches and Miami imploding)

And Miami Board on him if interested https://www.canesinsight.com/threads/84838-Luke-Stampini-crystal-balls-Callaway-to-Miami

Here is something very interesting from another WR in play -- Van Jefferson (6-2, 183)  #3 ranked player overall in Tennessee  http://247sports.com/Player/Van-Jefferson-33068

He was at the USAAA in San Antonio.  Has been talking to Coach Vaughn and wants to take an OV, but nothing set yet. Says "Kris Boyd is one of my good friends and he has been telling me a lot about Texas.†per 247

Jefferson Film - exciting player
