2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

That would be huge. I'm worried about Warren. I feel he is seriously wavering at this point.
Mack is a toss up. I do think the best thing we have going for us is getting him on campus. Let Jefferson host him, as he's stated he will, and that gives us our best shot.
On Locksley, I think our situation appeals for sure. I think his athleticism fits our scheme. I look at him as the same caliber as I did Heard. Success at this level will be all about development. Sometimes it works out great (VY) and we all no what happens when it doesn't.

I think that there are 2 players left that you take no matter what and that's Richmond and Mack. It doesn't matter where you're at numbers-wise. Take them and sort it out later.
And you probably want to do that if you can a quality experienced QB as well. Especially if you think they would be your starting QB.

I'm glad CS knows more than me. Obviously we have more interest than availability left. As the month goes on, the hard thing will be not letting recruits slip by because we're waiting on others who might end up going elsewhere. Maybe some of you are more in the know, just something I've been giving a lot of thought over the last week or two.

Where he's going to spend the next 3-4 years of his life. Texas doesn't have a WR coach right now - you don't think thats going to play into his decision? At the end of the day he might decide its not important, but he's got every right to take as much time as he wants and is allowed to.

I actually feel bad for Burt. Sounds like his mom wants him at Texas and his dad wants him at Auburn. Divorces can be an ugly thing sometimes. IMO this recruitment has little to do with QB play, WR coaches, etc. Right now Burt's dad seems to be winning the battle, because he wants his son closer to him.

Valid valid point. I feel for him having to go through something like that. A family divided is tough for a young man to deal with. However it ends up I truly wish him the best.

then burt needs to do take time away from EVERYBODY clear his head...spend some time praying about it and then makes his decision im a critical person that sees things differently and as far as the family is concern.....family needs to support his decision no matter what he decides...I'm pretty sure the good lord above is telling him to listen to his heart...because at this rate righ now he needs alot of support from hs family and whatever support he got...I wish i had his talent

What was it about your official visit weekend in Austin that sold you guys on Texas?
Cherry: That weekend was great. We bonded together, had fun and talked together about making history and coming to Texas and taking over. We had fun as brothers and I believe the three or four years we spend together are going to be more fun. We want to bring our talents to Texas to take the program to the college playoff and play for a national championship.
What's going to surprise Texas fans about the way Florida kids play?
Cherry: Well first of all, we're going to bring back how 'The U' was, but we're going to do it the professional way. That's being generals with it, not wild how they were but still having fun and going around with a chip. We've got to be good players on and off the field: have fun, be all about ball, get your education, be a team leader. It's going to feel like, 'Man, we've got Florida boys on the team.'
How excited were you to learn you'll get to play with Malik Jefferson?
Cherry: Oh I was hyped. I like that Malik and [Anthony] Wheeler joined because it's not just about me making tackles. They can help me and I can help them. We can help each other get rings in college and try to get to the NFL. They'll be calling that the next 'Linebacker U.' We can all help each other out. It starts with the linebackers, the quarterbacks of the defense.
Tell me about Tim Irvin. What do you like about his game?
Cherry: Tim plays fast, he's undersized and he gets to the ball and takes control of the field. I want him to play safety behind me. He's so small that everybody has overlooked him, but he plays with that chest and has that dog in him.
What should we expect from Davante Davis?
Cherry: Oh, he's a lockdown corner. I like how he talks. He'll tell you what it is, tell you what he'll do. He's not scared to hit nobody. I want players like that, who go out with a chip on the shoulder. You do your job and go 100 percent at what you do. It's just like the Spurs -- everybody handles their position and goes 100 and they all bond together and win. That's what we've got to bring to Texas. All of us go 110 at our position and we make stuff happen and get in the college playoff and win a national championship.
What about Devonaire Clarington?
Cherry: Big body frame, physical, good route-runner. He's a special tight end, not your ordinary tight end. He can do a lot from the slot and bring some diversity to moving the ball on offense. I saw him at a couple camps and we started talking and relating during our weekend at Texas. It felt like we grew up with each other.
I know he's a year older than the other four, so have you seen Gilbert Johnson play much? What do you know about him?
Cherry: He's smooth, calm, collected. Good receiver. I think he'll tear it up. He's crisp with his routes and pass-catching. He's not a talker. One thing I noticed about these boys from going out with them, we had a really great time. We really look out for each other.

I hate to be the one to say it, but I wonder how the dad became so invested in Auburn?
If he did not officially de-commit, then why was it put out there as fact?

Juan, I don't think that says he didn't decommit. I think he's seeing an uproar over the development and saying he's still thinking things over. I'm sure Texas is still in play with him but not from the advantage position we previously had.
If there was a rumor to shoot down, his tweet would have done that by saying "no, I didn't decommit" or something similar.

Of course, in these situations there's never cause for concern until someone decommits.

So you think that, as a factual matter, he did phone up the Texas coaches and formally de-commit?

According to Suchomel, Burt's Father told him that Burt had called Texas on Tuesday and officially decommitted and that he expected his son to officially commit to Auburn in a few day.

Bottom line is 1) Strong shouldn't count him as a commitment and 2) Burt still has no clue what he's going to do IMO, which means Texas is still in play. I think he probably ends up at Auburn, but I won't be surprised at all if Texas still lands him. His tweet this morning reaffirms that he really isn't sure what he's going to do.

Thanks for that. I could not remember who said it first. I must admit that sounds like a good source.
