1-Higdon is reporting that Malik and Mack are rooming together at the all star game. 2-The Bama boards are saying that Sheffield's mom was apparently decked out in Bama gear at the airport. It will be interesting to see what happens if A&M misses on Sheffield who has been considered an A&M lean for over a year.

Sheffield is 99.9999999999% Bama.  Believe this.

According to 24/7, former commit Toby Weathersby has listed Arkiesaw, LSU and Ole Miss as his final three. He says he will not consider Texas any longer through the process.

The issue? Texas does not play in the SEC.

Also, Malik was in Lodge ear for the 3 hr flight from Texas to Florida!

My thoughts as well until I learned he has not taken an OV to any of his final four schools. He has visited Texas on an unofficial this year already. He will make an OV to the school he chooses, sometime in late January.

I thought he took an official to Ou bc he has said another Skyline LB, Shannon showed him around? Maybe it was an unofficial?

I think his visit to OU was an unofficial. He and Shannon are friends. And if that was an official visit, then how could he take another after he announces, if OU is the school? He couldn't.

"Whatever works for him" is what I came down to as well.

I like him at MLB simply because I've seen how important it is to have two good MLBs through the Edmond-Santos combo the past couple years. Wheeler and Cherry both can be worked at multiple positions at LB so it's not an either/or situation for them.

I like our chances with him now that I know he's not officially visited any of these schools. He's got a great relationship with BJM, that could be the difference.

No OVs anywhere.  He admitted as much, plus none show on any of the lists.

He has been on Texas campus for Junior Day in March 2013, for camp in June 2013 (both old coaching staff) and has attended multiple home games (I dont know how many)

Lodge is such a beast.  He is the type of WR who can make most any QB look good (call it "the Mike Evans Effect")

Lodge said "I just got off a three-hour plane flight with Malik. I’ve already gotten every bit of Texas I can get (laughing).  He was just telling me how great a program it is. He’s telling me all the things I could do coming in there.â€
