2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

Just tell me this did not happen. Lie if you have to, but I refuse to believe a person(s) feels they have to read 150 pages of the same thread every day.

If by some stretch of the brain this has actually happened, then we have aggy in our midst.

I liked having the one-stop shopping on recruits. Every day there was one place to check or post. Nobody had to work to find a thread. It was always near the top.

Why even have a thread on Soso? He's not coming here and won't even visit. Yet, he deserves his own thread?????

Since no one asked, there's my input.
I use my iPhone when on the site, this thread always bounces to the most recent unread post not the first of 150 pages. I assume that is how it works for everyone else. I also enjoy the all encompassing thread. How about simply starting a new thread such as this after locking the old one if it is getting too long?

The old software for the site actually had a handy icon that let you go directly to the most recent post on any thread.

Saved having to scroll down all the time

Sadly, that little tool of convenience was dropped in the upgrade.

I've been reading for several months... Btw great work Juan... But I think it'll be a shame to see this closed. Much easier to keep up with one thread during the day than 15 for the guys we are recruiting.
I just clicked on the last page to get the new stuff. Seemed fine the way it was but I can live with either way. Appreciate those in the know who contribute.

DeShon Elliott told Jason Schumel today that he is "100% Texas."

We knew this but good to hear it again anyway.

I agree. I think most people enjoy being able to all come to one place to get all their recruiting news.  Anyone complaining about having to read 150 pages is full of it. If someone was saying they would lock this thread after NSD that would make sense but this just sounds like a couple of people ruining things for everyone else.

DB DeAndre Baker confirmed today he will take OV to Texas Jan 23

Current Georgia commit

Probably a backup plan for us, but we will see

Mine still works, was this the upgrade from a few months ago?

FWIW, I resemble this remark… and agree.

Here is Elliott and Wheeler together at the UAA

Wheeler will decide this week between Horns, ou and LSU

I can see both sides of the argument, but I think having separate threads per update have several advantages:

1. If you want info on an individual, you don't have to scroll through several pages.

2. More threads are better for the site and create more traffic (in my opinion).

3. Individual threads create less confusion when trying to have a conversation about specific recruiting topics.

Just a few pros to the decision (and, for what it's worth, I had nothing to do with the decision and didn't know about it until now).

What he said. ...

I've nothing against Soso, but it's apparent the RB Texas coaches like most is Warren. I have no problem having both, but see no way that's even possible.

We're already worried about a logjam with WRs and DBs. We'll sacrifice one of those spots for another TB when DBs and WRs are thin (depth)?

The only way I see it happening would be IF the "31" total is manipulated somehow.

I'll suggest this - when you have a player that Texas is really in the mix for – an example would be Tim Irvin – then start a new thread a few days before his announcement date.

I think we've seen in this thread how one player can dominate it for a page or two (not that its a bad thing) but that would be one case where I think a dedicated thread to that athlete would be called for and helpful.
