2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

Y'all can kiss Clark goodbye. Nobody develops NFL-ready tight ends better than Harbaugh.

Time to move on
That ship sailed a while ago. Clark isn't even visiting Austin anymore. Scout pretty much said we lost contact with him once it looked like Clarington was going to be a Horn. We simply don't have the scholarships. Clark was a long shot at best anyways.

WARNING: This thread will be locked and preserved on 1/1/15. It is an amazing compilation of recruiting updates and news, but it is now cumbersome.  We've received feedback from many of you and listened to that feedback.

1. There are too many people interested in specific recruiting news about a player that are not willing to sift through 150+ pages.

2. There is enough traffic and interest now to support a thread on an individual player.

As we head toward Signing Day, updates and discussion should become more frequent. Feel free to start a new thread with a specific update, or look for a thread on a specific player and post it there.

We are confident this will make it easier for folks to stay updated on a particular recruit.

Thanks!

here is the pertinent part of an ESPN piece on RB Nick Brossette --

Nick visited Notre Dame in October and loved his visit, but after the Brossettes came back from South Bend, Indiana, they called the Irish coaches and declined because it was just too far away. Texas has come a long, long way in Nick's recruitment and is a legitimate threat to pluck him away from Louisiana. Rita calls Texas coach Charlie Strong a "perfect gentleman" and has really enjoyed the way he's recruited her son. Nick has also become "kindred spirits" with Strong, because his stepmother had multiple myeloma. Nick also is considering a visit to Arizona State, but everybody in the family understands it will come down to LSU and Texas.

A couple measurements from the Under Armour game --

CB Kris Boyd --  5'11 3/8, 184 lbs

RB Chris Warren -- 6'2, 240 lbs (he a big'un)

WR John Burt arrived at the Under Armour game with fellow Tallahassee native, and Auburn commit, D'Anfernee McGriff.

McGriff has been all over Burt for the last few months.

Burt said at the game that he is still committed to Texas but feels torn between Horns and Auburn right now.

Warren seems to be the real deal, hope to see him in uniform on the 40 acres next season. Need Boyd to come on board, we need to restock our DBs and build quality depth.

Would be nice to see him pumped up about coming to Texas. Hope we keep his commitment, seems to be a game changer per (not "as per") all of the posts I have read recently.

Have never heard if Burt is close with or familiar with the rest of the Fla crew we are recruiting? Seems that some familiar faces could help keep him on board with UT.

Just tell me this did not happen. Lie if you have to, but I refuse to believe a person(s) feels they have to read 150 pages of the same thread every day.

If by some stretch of the brain this has actually happened, then we have aggy in our midst.

I liked having the one-stop shopping on recruits. Every day there was one place to check or post. Nobody had to work to find a thread. It was always near the top.

Why even have a thread on Soso? He's not coming here and won't even visit. Yet, he deserves his own thread?????

Since no one asked, there's my input.

4-star DB Xavier Lewis wants to take an OV to Texas.

Currently an LSU commit, but also has great relationship with Coach Vaughn.

I agree with this. I think it's easier to keep it located in one thread. I started creating new threads because when I initially tried to post in this thread it wouldn't allow me (I figured it was already locked).

The pic must've been removed. What was it?

The pic was just the tweet from Elliot

They had to do it this way bc Elliot's tweet are "protected" which means recipients must be pre-approved by him.

So, what you see there is all there was to it
