I don't think JW has a commitable offer right now. He lost alot of them actually. If he understand that he wont be a QB i've had an SEC coach tell me that he is a top 5 ATH in the country. He is really stuck on being a qb though.

When players are listed as ATH, do they usually play a skilled position on offense or a secondary position on defense?

I hope Ketchum gets 1) His attitude in order and 2) Finally realizes that he's not a QB..........because the guy is an elite athlete. IMO Ketchum could be a special WR.

Shea Patterson -- It was a big day for Patterson, as he officially announced his long-coming decommitment from Arizona. And while the timing might seem highly advantageous for Texas given his past visits and plans to take in a game this fall, the increased interest in him as a quarterback and the fact that his older brother was hired away from Arizona by LSU is the biggest factor here.
So despite how much interest Patterson has shown in Texas, the overwhelming sense right now is that he's going to be extremely hard to fill away from the home-state Tigers now.
A consensus five-star prospect rated as the No. 30 player nationally, the No. 3 pro-style quarterback, and the No. 2 player in Louisiana, the 6'2, 195-pounder currently holds offers from over 20 programs nationally.
Patterson has a strong arm, excellent touch, and commendable accuracy and decision-making after completing more than 60% of his passes as a sophomore and throwing 34 touchdowns against only four interceptions (1.79 INT rate).
Malik Henry -- Yet another in the long line of immensely talented California quarterbacks to come out of the state in the last several cycles, Henry is a 6'3, 180-pound pro-style prospect rated as a consensus five-star prospect and the No. 3 player nationally, the No. 1 pro-style quarterback, and the No. 1 player in state of California.
In June he camped at Michigan State, Ohio State, and Notre Dame, then made a trip down to Florida State in the middle of July, a group that suggests his some of his early interests among his 15 or so offers, a number that will surely grow quickly in the coming months.
Texas is entering his recruitment at an ideal time relatively early in the recruiting cycle, but a little bit late from the standpoint of being able to get him on campus during the summer for a visit.
As with Patterson, it doesn't take long to recognize the arm talent of Henry on film -- he has a quick, compact delivery and the ball jumps out of his hand whether he's throwing a deep ball across the field or working over the middle.
There's just something different about how throws look coming off the hands of truly talented quarterbacks.Some of it is a result of his quick feet -- he drops fast and can drive hard off of his back foot to find small windows.
However, unless the Horns have some type of connection with Henry or can start getting him on campus soon, it's going to be a difficult recruitment to win.
Dwayne Haskins, Jr. -- The best news coming out following the offers was probably from the Maryland product, a consensus four-star prospect rated as the No. 6 pro-style quarterback and No. 62 player in the country by the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Haskins told Inside Texas that the Horns are in his early top three after offering, an important move for the Horns since he hasn't yet visited and is considered by the industry to be a strong Ohio State lean, if not an outright lock to the Buckeyes with all 18 of his Crystal Ball predictions in favor of head coach Urban Meyer's program.
Though not quite as impressive on film as Henry, Haskins is excellent working over underneath defenders with touch and anticipating the breaks of his wide receivers.
Shawn Robinson -- The lone 2017 prospect on this list has been drawing buzz as one of the top prospects in the 2017 class in the state of Texas and is the early frontrunner for the title of top quarterback in the class, though there is hardly much competition there already.
Considered a Texas lean early, there are already three predictions for the Horns in the Crystal Ball. The other early offer for the 6'1, 180-pounder is from Nebraska.
Part of a crowded quarterback group for Guyer, Robinson is expected to be the starter over Prosper transfer David Moore and California transfer Kevin Dillman, who may not play after an Achilles injury that could jeopardize his commitment to Nebraska.
A starter as a freshman at Saginaw Chisholm, Robinson threw for over 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns last fall and ran for 624 yards and six touchdowns.

Okay, after watching video of the 4 2016 QB's that Texas offered yesterday (and mine is admittedly an untrained eye), it looks like the "worst" of the 4 is.......still very, very good.
Of course, now that I think about it, that's obviously why Charlie offered them. Duh!

The Florida State mod at 247 CB'ed Boyd to Texas yesterday. Said it's a Texas/Florida State battle, with Aggy a little behind.
A&M is even hedging now. Taylor Hamm said yesterday that he doesn't think Boyd ends up at A&M and that A&M may even be moving on soon.
