2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

Yes. Word is, Lampkin failed a Spanish class and is at risk of not qualifying. This has nothing to do with any other recruit.

how could he failed spanish?  didn't you see that picture of him on 6th street with the two senoritas??

that my friend is not a fail;  it is the highest of all scores.

:)

Would a Spanish class end at mid-term? Maybe he has a semester to get his grade up. The señoritas can tutor him.

On copying from another board... I copied a post from "there" to "here" and gave the reference to that poster's handle at the other board. I referred to the board as TOS (the other board) but not by name. I assumed that was okay. I did give the poster's well-known handle, and he is an astute contributer at that board. He's on the order of the best attitude and content of this board.

Was that okay? I was thinking if references are given -- same as any published document or journal contribution -- then it's okay. It is not a paid site. It is voluntary subscription.

There is speculation that he took the class online (can you do that in high-school?) and that Texas doesn't normally accept that as credit.  He is waiting to see what the final ruling will be.

Oops. Still time to correct the situation if that's what happened. I wish him luck.

Yeah HipHop may be right. Lots of stuff out there on this. We just know its a grade issue that's correctable, but not easy at this point.

The funny thing. You listen to the kid talk and he sounds pretty intelligent.
The coach was being honest to a fault. Facts shouldn't hurt your feelings, but the UM coach shouldn't say that on an in-home visit. Dumb

I wonder how many of Michigan's football players would qualify there without an athletic scholarship?

On A&M and the energy company comparisons...

Texas A&M is the self-serve drive-in grocery with one out of four pumps out of order, and those greasy water pools where you stand to fill'er up.

The University of Texas is the traditional Exxon/Shell/Texaco/Gulf, century-plus historical Flagship University of the Great State of Texas.

What's melting down in aggieland is a reaction, more like withdrawal having drunk the sec Koolaid the past three years due to snake-oil sold the bunch by Bow Tie and daydreamers thinking the zebra could change stripes. They now face the risk of completely embarrassing themselves in front of now-and-future recruits, high school coaches, media and the overall college football fan base. Social media allows you to show tact, smarts and cleverness ... or what an ass you can be.

247 put out their projected Top 10 Recruiting Classes for the year.

With Murray and Co. (Mack and Lodge), Texas would finish 3rd.

Without Murray and Co., Texas would finish 8th.

With Murray and Co., A&M would finish 10th.

Without Murray and Co., A&M would finish 14th.

So regardless of how the Murray situation plays out, 247 is projecting us to jump A&M in the Top Classes ranking.

Any idea when we hear how the in-home visits went for today? Every day has been exciting and I am now needing my fix. NSD still seems like it's far away.

Something terribly funny for you all. If Mack commits to Texas, it's very likely you'll see Burnt Orange shirts with #WRTS on them. As Mack's family owns the trademark and it's usage. A&M would not only lose the slogan, they'd have to suffer seeing it prominently displayed on their hated rival's memorabilia.

That's gold Jerry.

Yeah, but #WRTS could end up in TCU purple too

Hearing some rumors that Higons thinks there is an over/under of 2.5 silent commits and there is a possibility that lodge and Murray might of had an under the radar official visit already. Rumor as well that we might have some huge surprise OV this weekend. Anyone confirm these topics?

Where does Chris Warren stand in all this? In theory, Murray, Lodge, Mack, Hill, and Boyd could all still end up at Texas. The numbers are not adding up.
