Lockhart has offers from most of the top programs in the country but he seems to be enjoying himself on the 40 Acres today.

I was able to see him play in person the last two years. Ennis has been a pre-district game for Lewisville.

When I saw him last year, my expectations were pretty high. He had already hit the UT radar and a lot of hype surrounded him.

While he really stuck out to me when I saw him year before, he did not during the game I saw last year. He took plays off. I expected him to be the most impactful player on the field. He just wasn't. Ennis' speed guys were the show on their side. And Lewisville didn't seem too bothered by Ennis' defense.

Now, my son Brandon faced off with this guy for both of those years, literally being assigned to block him on about 80 percent of the plays. Brandon felt Lockhart was a few notches below Jonathan Solomon from Coppell (whom he also faced two years in a row). Brandon noted the taking plays off but did say when the guy brings it, he's tough to handle and is fast and strong. While his upper body is well developed, he's deceptively strong in the hips.

Longhorn and Aggie WR target Derrick Dillon committed to Florida.
Dillon is awesome and Florida got one hell of an athlete.  I talked to him at the Nike Camp in Houston a few months ago and he wasn't being recruited that heavily yet.  Great kid - Texas waited too long in recruiting him to get on his radar.....

Texas vs. Rice tomorrow at 7:00 pm in the winner's bracket.

Love Lockhart. One of the most physically developed kids I've seen at this level. Aledo couldn't stop him in the playoffs last year. Texas was previously in good shape but laid off of him for a while. He can be had if they choose to ratchet it up on him.

Texas can still get back in the game for Lockhart. He's mad because Texas hasn't been recruiting him hard (Lockhart has even said this). If Texas puts the full court press on him they can get in the game. I'm not sure if Strong sees Lockhart as that type of guy he wants to go all in on though. IMO Lockhart is a good player, but drastically overrated so we shall see.
