Hoops season is only 2 weeks away and we're going to make HornSports your home for the upcoming season. Chris Flanagan is going to lead our coverage this season and he's got an ambitious schedule planned out to help get everyone ready for tipoff. Take a look at the content schedule below - we'll update it with links as the articles go live.

[SIZE=14pt]NEW YORK, N.Y.[/SIZE][SIZE=14pt] â€”University of Texas sophomore point guard Isaiah Taylor appears on a regional cover in this week’s issue of Sports Illustrated, the publication announced Tuesday[/SIZE] morning. Texas is one of five schools selected for a regional cover in the magazine’s annual College Basketball preview issue, joining Arizona, Duke, Kentucky and Wisconsin.

[SIZE=14pt]Taylor’s cover shot was taken by photographer Darren Carroll. Subscribers and newsstands in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, New Mexico, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Idaho, New Mexico and Wyoming will receive this regional issue.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=14pt]Texas opens the 2014-15 season with a home game against North Dakota State on Friday, Nov. 14[/SIZE] as part of the 2K Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project. Tip is set for 7 p.m. Central at the Frank Erwin Center, and the game will be televised nationally by Longhorn Network.

Can any of you remember the last time you were this excited about Texas Basketball? 

 
No. Can't wait for the season opener. We have a good early schedule to gage the team in action.
Yes we do. I'm happy that we'll have a good idea of the identity of this team fairly early on in the season.

This team should be fun to watch. A ton of versatile players that appear to have the mental component nailed as well. Listened to Connor Lammert talk about this group of guys and sounds like everyone is on the same page.
