Surprise player in 2014...

I'm writing a couple of previews for the season now that spring is over and there are a few guys that could be surprises in 2014 but I keep getting back to Sheroid Evans. If he can get back healthy, I think he is a star in the making, will make noise and may be the guy to round out the nickel package with the DB's.

Yes, there may be other sure bets based on health but I love his upside.

Evans has all of the measurables. I think he's got the opportunity to be the guy.

Other than him, I've always thought Antwuan Davis was going to come in and tear it up.

Would a good season by Geoff Swaim be considered a surprise?

With the other 3 guys on the DL, I think Shiro will have a breakout year. Wouldn't be a surprise so much, but if he duplicates JJ's production, then it's close. I think he could exceed those totals if Reed & Brown are as good as I think they are.

A Healthy evans is a good pick. . . 

So is Caleb Bluitt or Shiro Davis

But for a real "surprise". . .I'm going with Montrel Meander . . . .
