Here is a video of General Manager Tom Telesco of the Chargers.

It's about 38m long, total.

His opening statement is a terrific description of the draft process for an NFL team. And is only about 6 1/2m of the full video. For an NFL GM, he is refreshingly honest and open. He does not name names, but he is as honest as he can be. It is much better than the usual doublespeake we get from most of these guys.

If you have time, it's excellent -

Garrett Gilbert NFL write up

http://www.nfl.com/labs/rr/cleanslate/cleanslate_gilbert

The low points were too plentiful and rock bottom was too diffuse for Garrett Gilbert to pinpoint them. But there was a soundtrack, and that he remembers clearly several years later, even as he's driving home from the airport after a recent pre-draft meeting with the Cincinnati Bengals. The booing -- loud and insistent -- echoed through Austin, Texas, where Gilbert had grown up the son of a former NFL quarterback and where he'd become a high school star himself, the consensus  national player of the year dreaming only of playing for the Texas Longhorns. Gilbert was sought after then to such a degree that the Longhorns showed more interest in him than they did in another of the state's prep standouts: Andrew Luck.

Luck, of course, became the top overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft and the league's best young quarterback. After taking a far bumpier path -- but with the booing having finally been silenced -- Gilbert will likely hear his name called in the middle rounds or later at Radio City Music Hall this week. Wherever he lands, though, Gilbert will be in a spot as familiar as Austin once seemed to him: starting over.
