TV miniseries - Band of Brothers and The Pacific

 
I really liked Flags of Our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima.  Clint Eastwood really showed that his chops extend much farther than acting alone - but, of course, I think we already knew that.  However, my favorite is The Thin Red Line.  Terrence Malick is just simply a genius maker of films.

 
"Downfall" is a really good movie.  I tracked it down on Netflix after seeing the countless Hitler parodies on youtube.  Highly recommended to any student of WWII.

 
I would have The Thin Red Line on my ten least favorite WWII movies.  Sean Penn played the least believable NCO ever in war movies IMO.
