Of the six major bowl games (Cotton, Fiesta, Orange, Peach, Rose, and Sugar) which is your favorite? Which is the most prestigious? In what order would you rank them?

I like the Cotton Bowl because you often have weather playing a factor. I will never forget the "Ice Bowl" where Montana beat Houston. It was so cold during that game.

I don't think of the Peach or Fiesta being part of the big 4 bowls. Those are the Rose, Sugar, Cotton and Orange Bowls. I think the Rose Bowl is the most prestigious.

Agreed on the Big4 bowl games

Of course the Texas victory over USC put the Rose Bowl on the map.

😜

Agree. My favorite non-Texas Big 4 bowl would have been the Arkansas-OU game in the Orange Bowl. Switzer vs Holtz. The week of the game, Holtz suspended his three best players, including the top two RBs.

Holtz had his team ready and stomped OU 31-3 behind third string RB Roland Sales.

What is you favorite non-BCS bowl game Texas played in? Mine has to be the 2007 Holiday Bowl against Arizona State and the referees. The crazy sideline interference call was nuts. I still don't think Mack's son-in-law (?) touched that ball.

Agree. There's been many good holiday bowls. Texas vs Oregon and Texas vs Washington were also good games.

The aggy loss in a sleet filled field in the Independence Bowl was memorable.

Texas has played a couple of good ones in the Sun Bowl.

I rank them like this:

Rose

50 feet of crap

Cotton
Sugar
Orange

30 feet of crap

Peach
Fiesta
The Rose Bowl is tops, because of the pageantry, parade, weather, etc.

If the State Fair was held at the same time as the Cotton Bowl (and the game played in the actual Cotton Bowl) it would be closer to the Rose Bowl. But Dallas weather in early January is almost always going to suck

Sorry, but he (he was Mack's stepson) touched the ball and even Mack admitted he did later after the game was over. Edit note: He shouldn't have been on the field to begin with. Dumbarse decision on his part.

I loved hearing the Texas players yelling "Rudy" because Rudy Carpenter gave the Texas defense no credit at all before that game. The Texas "D" beat his arse the whole game!
