The USC NIL sure seems to be spending a lot this year. If Riley doesn’t produce, they’ll have to be spending it on his buyout.

I don't think it's over. Sark really likes this kid. If Sark keeps putting up comparisons between TE's in his offense and TE's in Riley's, it might take hold in the kid's mind.

I'm interpreting this weekend as dress rehearsal for the rest of the month. From what I'm seeing, none of our top targets are coming yet. Sound like most of the OVs fit into one of these categories:

1. Someone we are behind on so this is the only weekend they can come. Hoping we can make up ground somehow. Need a miracle to win over.
2. Back up plans that we want to keep warm but don't want to give time to when the bigger fish are in town.

Per Google, that puts him on par with an early 2nd round draft pick. Crazy for someone coming out of high school, but it looks like USC is spending crazy money to win

From Sark's comment that the 40 million roster reports were wrong, and he wishes he had another 15 million, implies a 25 million roster. 7 million over 3 years would be 9.33% of the current roster budget. With revenue sharing coming, that budget is going up, as is the roster size

How much they are willing to pay a top tight end seems like a money ball type analytics problem. Time will tell if Texas is interested at that price

Too little too late. Riley's goose is cooked. They went from 11-3 in '22 to 8-5 in '23 and 7-6 in '24.

I hope not, this is not the college fooball I love. I can accept NIL ,but millions for kids that are still in high school.
