I love a good defense...

It's kind of funny that not long ago, there were some calling for Coach K's head. Although the results weren't great at first and we haven't really played anyone of substance this year so far, having staff continuity and allowing the players to stick with a system for a few years is paying off. And I'm sure we've finally got the type of players to play in his system as well.

I know it sounds crazy now, but there were multiple posters on this site calling for Sarks head too.
Like you said Bruise, it takes time to build a system.
Del Conte coming to horns was best thing to happen for us in a long time.
On this note, I can not help but laugh at the poster(s) that were adamantly saying that CDC wanted Sonny Dykes and was upset that Sark was the hire. Supposedly, they even had a contract drawn up but the BMDs rejected. I'm not an insider but if that were remotely true, I'd bet CDC is thankful for the turnout.lol

I read that Sydir was unhappy with his lack of playing time. When asked to go into the ULM game late he balked and got into it with another player. The S&C coaches escorted him off the field. Per Bobby Burton there will be repercussions.
Get him out of there then. Don't need any poison in the locker room. Grab two more DL from HS and at least two from the portal for depth.

A poster I often quote here, Closetojumping, shared a pretty good point today that I'll share here.

Every year, we play OU the second Saturday of October. And every year, OU brags that they have been practicing the Texas game plan for weeks. They install and scheme Texas for weeks before this game.

They do so because they always played cupcakes before Texas.

Not this year. The schedule didn't have enough cupcakes for OU to prep Texas that far in advance.

They may beat Auburn, but it won't be a gimme. And Tennesse certainly had to demand their time.

Now, their offense has a freshman QB.

This should be fun. lol

With both Texas and ou having a bye the week before, you would think both teams would have ample time to scheme.

I'm sure ou will come in very motivated and prepaired, but Texas will be just as motivated, and better prepaired and more talented.

Should definitely be fun to watch.

Doesn’t OU have Casey Thompson ? The guy who was our qb Sarks first year ?
That kid could sling the ball before he got the thumb injury.
I’m always leary of OU.
Seems like the best team loses that game at least 50% of the time.
We had them beat with Rattler in, they bring in the backup and beat our ass.
I hope Sark has the team pumped

Yeah, I saw a tweet about boosters insisting CDC go after Sark instead of Dykes. Maybe I can find it later.

Reminds me of when boosters insisted Deloss get on a plane with the Hunt brothers and go to North Carolina to get Mack Brown (1997). Deloss wanted to get Bennett from Colorado, which would have been a huge mistake.
