2023-24 Transfer Portal Thread (PORTAL CLOSED)

IT saying A&M WR Evan Stewart is a strong candidate to enter the transfer portal.

Alabama is considered the favorite currently, followed by others like Ohio State, Oregon and Texas.

Hamilton at IT added he's uncertain if Alabama will push.

He didn't elaborate on why.

Here's a random thought... I really hope that Blue sticks around. Didn't he tinker with the portal last year? He seems like a candidate to jump in - especially if Brookes comes back. I like his quickness and burst.

Go get 'em Sark!
Early take is that BAMA is the team to beat. Texas, Oregon are in the running.

Edit... okay, I see this was mentioned. I really need to start at the beginning of the page.

Large human!

Question - since I'm new to this thread. Do you post anyone who enters the portal, or players that Texas might have interest in (or vise-versa)?

Edit.... now that I look it is obviously for transfer portal news.... not exclusively Longhorns.

So, which aggy transfers do we target? Stewart seems obvious, but other than him, who?
I don't know about culture fits, etc..... but they have a plethora of talent on the DL. I'd look to poach an interior DL or two if they jump in. If Traylor is hired - I think keeping the DL coach would be mandatory - as an attempt to keep some of that talent.

For the same reason Aggy used to say “RC didn’t offer…”
In Stewart's case, there will be heavy emphasis on NIL money.

If Bama isn't pushing, they don't want to compete, they already know where he's going or don't think he's a fit.
