In some respects he is correct.  It's not all abut money, and brand affiliation is important.

  But the getting beat by Alabama instead of Kstate, is an idiotic thing to say, and although it's not all about money, money is a huge factor, as is brand, as is a more compelling schedule  as is recruiting. 

On the other hand he would look dumb if he kept his mouth shut, and he tried to play his bad hand as best he could. 

I agree with you except for the last point. He has been doing this for a long time. He knows how to answer questions. Keep it classy and move on. Probably has had a long standing grudge with Texas and took his shot. I am obviously no ou fan, but what he said about them was just as idiotic.

I don't think he looks dumb for keeping his mouth shut. If he shuts up, nothing stupid comes out. That is sometimes the wise move.

Idiot. Yes, I rather get beat by Alabama than K State. I also rather beat Alabama than K State. That pretty well summarizes the Big 12,  and why leaving the Big 12...that and the money (which networks clearly showed Big 12 was living off of OU and UT brands). He doesn't even realized how he insulted his own conference. Low self esteemed individuals don't realize winners want to compete against the best. Idiot.

I wonder if this POS is in charge of the officials? Burton said he is essentially the COO of the big12.

Edit: Makes you wonder if this wasn't the prevailing attitude of the big12 towards Texas.
