*****Game Thread: #22 Texas Longhorns vs. Iowa State Cyclones*****

Didn't the fans storm it after the Houston win in 90? I was there and I'm pretty sure it happened.
Yes, the fans did storm the field.  That game was one of the loudest games that I have been to.  I don't remember our fans storming the field for another game since that one in Austin.  I think it was 1995 that our fans stormed kyle field after a win.  The aggys sh*t their pants when that happened.

I was at the aggy game too. I wasn't one of the ones who went on the field but I do remember aggy corp members hitting Texas fans, including women, who rushed the field. aggy being aggy, they defended their actions.

To be fair, the Texas offense wasn't very sharp at all today for at least 30 minutes of the game.  They still put up 24 points against that defense. At least 14 points left on the field.  IST is a good defense, but if this offense is cranking then they can put 40pts on anyone in the B12, imo.
They will need 40 or so to win some up coming games. And yes the Texas offense (Ewers) was not sharp.

2 passes in a row Sark was calling for a flag for "blocking the route" on Sanders and Worthy.

What rule is he thinking applies?

Credit where credit is due dept.

Sark's 2nd half adjustments, back to a failed run game in the 1st half was the difference. They were unable to stop us on the left edge, even with the best run defense in the Big 12 when they knew it was coming.

More credit dept:

Quinn had no turnovers. That's huge.

Sark took the ball out of his hands in the 2nd half, as we have seen him do with Card. I'm still not OK with Sark not using the QB to run occasionally, it's like playing with one hand behind your back.

Dekkers shredded us. Thank goodness he doesn't know how to slide.

I'm thinking we finish 2-3 with this pass defense.

Deckers had a big game. But a lot of that was when Watts went down. We had freshman corners covering one of the best receivers in the conference.
And when Deckers got in a rhythm, it was tough to stop.
lots of freshman on this team

Austin Jordan and Terrance brooks also played a lot. Both freshmen.
Tough matchup for any freshman

Some don’t believe Watts was making as much of a difference. Good call out.
