I've waited for this game for an entire year. I truly felt we should have won last year, even with a team that just wasn't put together well. But this year my confidence is swelling due to Texas now beginning a rise and OU now beginning a tailspin.

I knew the minute I heard Brent Venables got the OU job that they would/will end up firing him. IMO, he's just not cut out for an HC role. Venables' specialty is supposed to be defense and TCU just hung 55 on them.

Two losses with a team that is still arguably the most talented team in the conference is not a good look and Texas will just make it worse.

Welcome back Mr. Quinn Ewers. Pick right up where you left off.

Texas should win this one going away. OU's QB went down. Theo Weiss was injured. An OL went down. It was a bad week to be OU. They will be weakened in what is already really a rebuilding year for them though OU doesn't believe they're rebuilding. Well, they probably do now.

But more importantly, they have to be re-thinking their hiring of Venables right about now. What are they going to do? Fire him in his first year?

Texas has a break-out performance this week with the return of Ewers.

Texas 54

OU 21

Depends on which QB plays Not Ewers or Card, OU's QB.

With their backup doubt if OU scores. With starter will be a shoot out like last year.

OU has fired coaches after one year.

Their QB was not good before getting knocked out of the game yesterday.  Their secondary’s really undisciplined.

might need to wait to see who the officiating crew will be to get a better read in this game.

It’ll be a Big 12 crew. They all suck.

I will go ahead and make an early prediction, and its based on a feeling with no data or inside info to back it up

Hudson Card will start the game at QB..Ewers will make an appearance in the 2nd QTR if Card doesnt put any points on the board

of course if Sark names QE the starter before Sat then obviously all bets are off...I just dont see Sark benching a QB after a 300 yard passing game

QB was off on his throws, one reason TCU got a early lead. He was ight on vs Corn huskers.

Clemson's QB was off high yesterday in first half. All have off days.

It's easy to be "on" against Nebraska

Agree. And I was suprised. He did have them moving the ball in between mistakes though. I was more surprised at how ineffective that back up QB was though.

Ewers should have a big day against that secondary.

the initial lines came out in Las Vegas....Texas opened up as a 4.5 point favorite and it was quickly bet up to 6...the Over/Under has opened at 65

Aggies are a 24 point underdog vs Alabama

I'd definitely go with the under

Play calling in the 2nd half of W Va was better. With Ewers back, we should move the ball well.

Defense was somewhat better. If we get the same intensity this week, we will win again.

Texas                            52

Scum of the earth        24

Make no mistake, this is a huge, pivotal game for OU. With two losses, one of the few ways it can get back on track and instill some confidence is to beat Texas. This game carries a huge amount of importance to them.

So they will come out swinging and will play their best game of the year next Saturday.

I am anxious to see how this team responds to the punch in the mouth.

This is a tough one to call. On the one hand you look at how badly 0u has played the last two weeks and how questionable their QB situation is, and a big Texas win seems very likely.

On the other hand it's TX 0u, and you know we are going to get their A game. Plus you look at how they looked bad early last year , but turned things around in the 2nd half of the Texas game and never looked back. Obviously different coach, and the backup QB doesn't seem nearly as promising.

I'm going to go TX 38 0u 24
