When it comes down to the nitty gritty it not where the players come from, its what the coaches do with with them.

Risky and Robinson were or great RBSjust a few that have been Horns over the years. All got better after the ou ( small letters) game.

I'm not questioning your Texashood here Easttex. I am simply saying there are shitload of kids these days who don't feel the loyalty to Texas as they once did, and they are enamored with places like Bama, Clemson and Ohio State because they compete on the big stage. So they go there if they're good enough to get an offer.

We have wandered in the wilderness for quite some time. Most of it self-inflicted. So a kid has a right to question "why play at a place who will never be on the big stage?"

I don't like it but that's the way it is today.

So we should pass on Arch Manning and go for a mid to high four star from Texas. Send Bijan back to Arizona, and Xavier Worthy back to Michigan. And maybe send Darrell Royal back to Oklahoma.

I don't think it is a question of lack of loyalty to the state of Texas. I think it is the fact that a whole generation of kids have grown up seeing Texas as an average to crap team in their whole lifetime. Why wouldn't they go out of state?
