2023 Recruiting Board/Thread

Maybe something happened with NIL/incentives, maybe it didnt.

However, there's nothing weird about this at all, IMO. Look at our track record of developing OL for the past 15 years. I don't blame any OL recruit who would look at us and say "pass" until we showed some improvement in this area.
Only if you're willing to believe that Flood was just lucky sperm at Alabama and isn't really a good OL coach at all.

247 reporting Texas is attempting to get newly offered TE Collins Acheampong of Anaheim, CA on campus for the June 17th weekend.

He's originally from Ghana and was a basketball player only until going out for football his freshman year, but his school hasn't brought the program back since shutting down for COVID.

Unless he transfers to another high school for his senior year, he will not have played football in three years once he hits college but that hasn't stopped several programs from going after him.

On S Tyler Turner of San Antonio Brennan...IT saying Texas is content to play the long game when it comes to finding safeties for this class and are prioritizing others.

One name is Makari Vickers of Tallahassee, FL who is expected to take an official to Austin, and has already been on campus once this year.

This guy does videos for On3.

I've subscribed to this guys YouTube channel. His videos are insightful, at least for this old fart.

I have a suspicion that we lose this one to Miami. Just a feeling.
Well, good news on that front is I haven't seen Gullette linked to Miami at all, he hasn't visited that I can see and doesn't have an official planned.

IT mentioned Alabama being a big threat a while back if they push because his father is from there, but that talk seems to have died down a lot.
