2023 Recruiting Board/Thread

I can't read the article, but my guess is he will take his Georgia official in the fall.

I will follow up if I see am explanation.
Suchomel at OrangeBloods making it sound like Georgia is all but out.

Much like Cook, this is thought to be an A&M/Texas battle.

Thats a fact it depends on the person. Doubt if any grew up poorer than I did. However it made me a better person who appricated life.
Me too. Grew up in trailers and apartments. Went into Marines. Came out better for all the trials. But at 18 if I could have gotten a bigger NIL I still wouldn’t have gone to a&m or OU. But there are a few schools I would have gone to if they offered more at the time. Probably why SMU could recruit in the late 70s to mid 80s.

pre-NIL NIL.

elive B. Layne had graduated year before.

Sewell would be great at center or guard. LB position is biggest need.

We are doing the same thing, only we're open about it. That makes a big difference, aggy acting like they didn't do it is...well...it's aggy.
No, we're actually trying to be legit and up front about our NIL deals. Thats because they're legal and done the way it was intended.

It's like I told an aggy friend of mine this evening. There's a reason why you can talk about Texas NIL deals, but can't talk about aggy NIL deals. One in on the up and up, the other is being covered up.

Keep in mind, Baron. Saban didn't actually accuse Jimbo of cheating. Thats really what was so funny about Jimbo's response. That, and repeating words over and over..

From Arch Manning:

Regarding Georgia: "They have a really good staff," he said. "They just have athletes all over the place. Whether it's o-line or their entire defense. They had 15 guys drafted. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with the quarterbacks this year and just asking some questions on my official visit."

Regarding Alabama: "Their quarterback play has been insane the past couple of years," he said. "With Bryce, Mac, Tua, and all those guys. There's really nothing bad about Alabama. It's a machine and really good guys over there. I just want to build the relationship a little bit more and see Tuscaloosa I guess one more time."

Regarding Texas: "Coach Sark's first year with a whole new roster was with a whole new roster and no one he recruited," he said. "It's definitely hard to go in and be successful. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do this year. That's kind of my deciding factor there and building a relationship with them. With a year under his belt, let's see what he can do now. "Coach Milwee is a great guy. I think it's really important to be close to your position coach."

Pleasant holds a Texas offer and is the high school teammate of QB Maalik Murphy.

He ran a 20.40 in the 200 meters, too.

Exactly.  We are doing it legit. Even if 98% hate the NIL deals, we are being legit.   The useless aggies on the other hand want to deny any NIL deals  for getting the #1/2/3 players from AZ, FL, PA, and TN as if these kids want to be in a dead dog town with smelly sheep for dates.  Yes, I do say that to my friends from aggy land.  We probably spent what a couple of million in total for the freshmen class?  They spent something close to $30M for theirs. Thus why I have said that the IRS and FBI should be watching these deals. The individual  deals I have no idea about. But still not close to their "deals" that Dumbo and the aggies want to deny.

Those quotes make it sound like Arch isn't making a decision any time soon.

Thought he was wanting to make a summer decision.
Me too. But I haven’t talked to him lately. Just getting my info from folks on here who for the most part are getting it from recruiting analysts who get paid to make stories that sell. Telling people that they have no idea what he’s going to do doesn’t sell. So they play like they can read tea leaves.  And people buy it. They are right about the same percentage as we are. Now because it is their business they may be faster with the news after a recruit has made a decision. But we shouldn’t equate that with them being good at estimating.

This is all for entertainment purposes anyway and God love ‘em the recruiting analysts have found a way to make a living out of trying to guess what 17 and 18 year old boys are going to do.
