Spring Game Thread

The obvious watching party is Card v Ewers, but beyond that it is the line of scrimmage on both sides.

The format this year sucked. If you weren't there you missed a bit. No consideration for the viewing audience.

I heard Card had a terrific game.

I was unable to watch.

IMO, both QBs had what I'd call equally good games. The Ewers TD pass to Neyor was a thing of beauty. Neyor caught it in stride.

I was at the game. Defense still can’t tackle and I am not confident we are better on that side of the ball. O-line is still a weakness but they can improve hopefully and some talented new blood will be arriving soon. Good news is there are some weapons on offense. Starting receivers are ligit but depth will be an issue. Big drop off with the second group. Sanders at TE has the potential to be a beast. I was very impressed with Brooks and K. Robinson at RB. The talent at RB is championship level but that is the only place IMHO. QB’s looked about even. Ewers threw some dimes but also badly missed a couple of wide open throws. Card still gets happy feet at times but overall looked more poised.
It was a spring practice so can’t get too excited or depressed.
I am concerned we will suck again on defense. As and old HS DC, this pains me greatly. I didn’t see anything that shouted drastic improvement on that side. I want to watch the broadcast so I can see more.

My 2 cents. I had fun and it’s always good to watch some FB!

Ewers will be a great QB but he will have growing pains. But is Sark gonna have the patience in that case? On defense can PK find his best 11 on the defense because it shouldn’t be hard considering it was one of the worst defense in school history a year ago.

Ewers' delivered it in stride.

The QB's were equal tonight. That being said, Card is still behind the eight ball considering Ewers' status as a recruit
I want to disagree with this statement but I can’t.

I respectively disagree...Card has real game experience, its his position to lose, Ewers may end up as the starter at some point during the year but IMO Sark starts Card unless Ewers just totally out performs him this summer...History repeats itself again, the back up QB in Austin is always the most popular guy in town...we did this last year..
