Texas now has 29  cplayers signed. 27 HS 2 transfers, also 1 commitment unsigned. After Campbell makes 30 proably leaves portal players left

2 spaces for sure and most likely 3. Who what position and when are the burning questions.

Feb. will answer some of thesequestions espicaly Campbell.

Jr. and Sr. days and then spring game to look forward to.Will we see a go go offense?
If there are 3 spots I'd want a WR, LB and then either OL or DB.

I would say TE is more a need than a LB.               Sure Sark is working the portal for a WR.

1. ILB

2. Edge

3. WR

I don't think Sark would agree with that. They did very little to recruit HS TEs. He previously commented on how the roster was too TE heavy. I think he is happy with the guys he has on campus and the next TE to hit campus will be in the 2023 recruiting class.

This guy...

I thought he wasn't about NIL and all about football?  To be 18 and think things magically go away if you turn your head.

Missed Sark's comment about TES. Prably made before Wiley hit the portal. 4 TES left however Liebrock might never play.

Hard to say howmany LBS there is due to PKs 2-4, 3-3 4-2 or what ever heruns. But there is 14 or more LBS.

To me only positions with extremly crowed rooms are DL and LB.

Actually, I think maybe I had the quote backwards (I certainly can't find it now) but now that I think on it, I believe he was shocked at the vast number of WRs. Either way, I feel based on their actions so far, they aren't looking to bring another TE on campus.

xSark did comment WR room was crowded only had 9 at Ala. He does need 1 more WR with speed, proably portal.

Agree he has not een recruiting TES. USC might have one entering portal at 6-4  245.

Here are the numbers i came up with at the skill positions next year:

WR 10
Jordan Whittington
Xavier Worthy
Troy Omiere
Kelvontay Dixon
Jaden Alexis
Marcus Washington
Casey Cain
Dajon Harrison (did he go into the portal?)
Brennan Thompson
Savion Red

RB 5
Bijan Robinson
Roschon Johnson
Keilan Robinson
Jonathon Brooks
Jaydon Blue

QB 4
Quinn Ewers
Hudson Card
Charles Wright
Maalik Murphy

TE 4
Brayden Liebrock
Jatavion Sanders
Gunner Helm
Juan Davis

I agree with ETH, i think Texas needs 1 more quality, speed WR (if one becomes available). If they don't find one, Worthy, Whittington and Omiere will be more than good if healthy.  Dixon, Washington and Thompson will provide situational reps.  Don't know much about Alexis, Harrison and Cain and Red can RS.

I think the TE position is in a good position and I think Sanders, Helm and Davis (Hback type) will be good with Liebrock being a wild card (has the talent). My prediction is that Sanders will take over the position.

I don't know if Liebrock is going to be able to play. So I think we'll see a bunch of Sanders and Davis. They need to harvest their investment with Sanders. Davis has flashed every time he's given the opportunity. Hopefully, Helm becomes an option, too.

Texas A&M Boosters Spent Unfathomable Amount Of Money To Land No. 1 Recruiting Class, Per Report

Texas A&M football currently holds the nation’s top recruiting class for 2022. With six five-star prospects, 19 four-stars and three three-stars, the Aggies are loaded.

Among the commitments, head coach Jimbo Fisher and his staff landed the nation’s top-rated linebacker, top-rated defensive lineman and the second-ranked wide receiver. They also kept the nation’s second-ranked quarterback in-state, locking up the program’s biggest need for the foreseeable future.

And, although the class is all-but finished, there is still time to land another prospect or two before or on National Signing Day. With a 247Sports composite score of 328.82, it is the nation’s No. 1 class by more than 11 points over Alabama.

Needless to say, the Aggies have hit the recruiting trail extremely hard. Per a recent rumor, their boosters also spent a small fortune.

Apparently, Texas A&M’s 2022 recruiting class is set to cost the school’s boosters upwards of $30 million in deals for NIL when the prospects officially enroll.

According to a message board user who goes by SlicedBread, Aggie boosters spent between $25 and $30 million to sure-up the nation’s top class. He reported that the effort was targeted and coordinated.

If they truly spent this kind of money and we barely tapped into our resources, then they know that we don't have to spend that kind of money like them do to the difference between the schools and locations.  We could add $50k-$100k for other positions like the DL, LB, WR, DBs, and QBs to go with what we already have and what could still come down.  They and others know this and they are scared more than they would want their fanbase and people to know.  We have lead or been in the top 2 maybe top 3 in revenues  from Mack(last 4 years or so) through Strong and Herman and their incompetence to win on a regular basis. Just what could happen if that changes over the next year or 2.

If they need a blocking TE go with Connor or another OL, would be a better blocker than any TE.

I belive  texbound numbers are accurate good work.

Please tell what quality  LB we have?

I’m confident in the 3 freshman from last year and Liebrock. If they can’t go I’m very happy playing 2 RBs and letting RoJo block some for Bijan and get them the ball creatively. Or run more 4 WR sets. Put Marcus Washington at TE a couple snaps. He blocked better than half our OLine this year.

Overshown the coaches like him or would not have taken him back. Maybe Ford.

It does not matter about talent, just can not over load one position with bodies. This has been hurting Horns for quite a while.

When Ford began getting more playing time at the end of the season, he looked pretty good.

Mo Blackwell looked better in limited action there at the end. Overshown is back.

I think Adoye entered the portal or graduated. If he's still here, he likely won't play.
