I’ve seen at least 2 parents ask for their kids to stay in college and play football this year. If mom’s think it’s ok to play then so do I.

I do care, about my personal liberties.  And yours as well.  Just because you are scared of something, shouldn’t mean I should take the same course of action as you.  I know several people who’ve had this virus, some had it rough (the much older ones) and some not as bad ( the younger ones).  Heck I’m positive my daughter had it In November.  It’s not the end of the earth.

Certainly, asymptomatics won't be sneezing and coughing often since they don't have those symptoms but they still are talking which can still spread the virus; unless they are taking precautions, i.e. wearing a mask, social distancing.  The risk is certainly decreased but it's not 0.

99+% survival rate. Thats pretty damned close to 0.

Alot of implications to playing in the spring for conferences electing to do that. 

1. Two seasons in one calendar year in a highly physical sport. 

2. NFL Draft in April- any player that remotely thinks they can play in the NFL would probably opt out of playing the college season. 

3. Of course all the other sports overlapping. 

4. Nobody really knows but how much better will the virus be then? Probably have a vaccine by then but a small percentage is even going to take a vaccine. 

5. Recruiting 

And a lot of other implications. I’d just rather take the chances and play some kind of schedule in the Fall. Hopefully we do ??
