I really think that’s about right, with the caveat being that McCann gets back relatively soon. I’m not sold at all on the freshman catcher. Need to win 2 out of 3 this weekend against Tech especially at home.

9 is about right but IMO 12-14 is where I think we're at this point... Lets just keep winning series in the Big 2 and see where the dust settles in May.

So question @joeywa, is Tech pitching that good or were the Texas bats just off this weekend? 10 hits in 3 games isn't going to win you too many series, even though they did it this past weekend.

I'm no expert and only watched Friday nights game, but my guess is a little of both. This Texas team will never be an elite hitting team. Especially with DJ and Hamilton out of the lineup. But Tech does have a great staff. That staff is good enough to carry them to Omaha.

What TB14 said. That is an elite staff in Lubbock, but what was encouraging to me and @joeywa mentioned on Twitter 0 errors and held Tech to 9 runs for the weekend. That team will hit and score runs as Tadlock is one of the best hitting guys in the country. Also and sometimes certain teams and players just have great success against you no matter what...I mean Geno Petralli owned Roger Clemens for goodness sakes
