I played against them at Holmes when they were all sophomores.  Seems like there was a really good tailback there that year as well.  

. jerry arceneaux was the RB. He was a year ahead of them.  I did find this little treat from that year. 



I was on the freshman team before we moved to Kerrville, so my interaction with Keith, Kerry, and Johnny was almost nil.

BJ Johnson, Roy Williams, Tony Jeffries

I believe Johnson was the #1 receiver in the state and Williams was #2.   Jeffries was a higy ranked “athlete” who played QB in high school.  

Nationally, Johnson was #1 and Williams #3.  

All the above was from memory.  Either very impressive or dreadfully flawed.  

Your close Roy Williams was the second rated WR nationally after Charles Rodgers of Michigan State. BJ was 4th or 5th. Sloan Thomas was 11th.

This WR class should be better. We have the top two athletes in Bru and Whittington and Jake Smith is the 8th rated WR. Plus we have Marcus Washington who is the 24th WR.

I would expect this group to be more productive because of the way college football is played now.

The Cowboys just drafted a LB that had a similar pedigree in high school.

He's smaller than Vander Esch but the style of play is the same.

I forgot about Sloan!  

They were good but not used effectively IMO.   They were all tall, long striders and ran a lot of very short and sideways catch and run routes.

Agree with y’all. This dude should have gotten smaller D1 offers. He can play football. None of his highlights had him taking on an OL so maybe in a scheme where the DL can keep him clean but this dude is physical , moves well, not great speed but definitely good enough. Walk-on gonna make the top 44 players work hard and Make Our Special Teams Great Again

Now, to be fair when Jimbo said that he had his budget all set for a No 1 or 2 class. How was he suppose to know that the other SEC teams would out bid him at the end. This is Jimbo's first full year recruiting in the SEC.

If an sec team has the #1 and #2 class, doesn't that mean that by association aggy also has the #1 and #2 class? Not sure how this sec coat tail riding works exactly!!
