I’m relatively new here and don’t like to be argumentative, but if you felt Bru to Texas would’ve happened in the last month you were dreaming.  After all the uncertainty at USC and he still picks them.  I haven’t read anything about him referencing Texas in quite sometime.  All we can do is wish him the best and be glad CJ9 decided to come back

Agree.  And that's exactly what happened on this board. Don't see any need to be critical of anyone for being hopeful.

You can’t fault the coaching staff.  They did a great job staying in it, but it was evident it would be USC when the uncertainty at USC began and nothing turned his recruiting towards Texas.  PeeWee Herman couldb’ve been Named OC and Bru would’ve still picked them.  He picked with his heart, and that’s completely fine.  He’s talented enough to get to the NFL if he played Anywhere, he’s just going to have some very rough seasons while he’s there.  He may feel like he wants to be part of their solution.  Most here don’t think Helton can do it, but obviously Bru  does

This isn't an argument and yes, Texas lead for Bru for quite some time. Bru said as much right after his visit.

The real question here is – you didn't bother throwing down any sources, or reveal how you know anything – yet you definitively say something you have no way of even knowing without living in the McCoy household. And you tell me I'm dreaming? lol

Can’t argue that Texas did in fact lead for a while, but When was that visit to Texas?  How many sources have said anything the last month?  Writing was on the wall.  He was giving USC all the time to assure him he was making the right choice.  Family, proximity and usc being his lifelong dream won out.  Sometimes all the sources in the world can’t pick where a kid chooses.

I knew when the official visit was.  Right after Texas best USC he was riding a Texas high.  However I don’t think Texas was ever way in front, that was part of the reason they stayed in it as long as they did.

There was a point about 3-4 weeks ago when things went quieter that, to me, it seemed that Bru to USC was going to happen.  That’s when the writing on the wall happened.  

Him being a lifelong USC fan, his family being an hour from USC was hard for Texas’ recruiting efforts to overcome.  Texas did a fantastic job to keep in it as long as it did, but I feel a month ago it turned.  

He was just looking for reasons to confirm picking USC along the way.

Not good for him. He had a chance to stay in the great state of Texas and play at the greatest University in America. In Austin Texas and hang around with Matthew McConaughey.

I know there is a aggie monitor patrolling this thread, but I'm going to take that chance. GW not wanting to go to UT and doing the horns down shows a lack of character. However, the good news is that there is no other school in the country to teach a young man about character. He will be able to learn from the master.
