I believe two teams ahead of us lost. One of those was Georgia, and I don't see the pollsters punishing them much since they're SEC! SEC! SEC! They may stay ranked ahead of us.

Penn St. lost and you'd think we'd at least take their spot. But we did have a hard time at home with a team we were heavily favored to beat.

I think we'll be ahead of georgia, but may get jumped by lsu. Even though we played a horrible game, we weren't the only ones, so getting the w may be enough to move us into the top 5-6. Notre dame has to lose.

I was watching College Gameday Final and at the end of the show they do their top 5 for the CFP.; well, both Galloway and Palmer had Texas at #5.  I had to look again because it's been forever since UT was even in the conversation.  I'm not saying they make it, but it was just cool to see them there.

Georgia will stay ahead of us. LSU will move in front of us and both UCF and Michigan might as well.

Just need to keep finding ways to win. All that stuff is BS at this point in the season IMHO.  Gives the talking heads something to ramble about  incessantly.

Texas has a few problems to correct. I don't think we are a top 5 team. Not sure we are top 10 at this point. Keep winning and improving and we will be a true top 10 team at the end of the season.

Got email asking if I wanted to reserve my tickets for conference championship and bowl game. A little early for the CC game.

What's with this doom and gloom about everybody passing us up? Notre dame struggled, ucf struggled, 2,6,7,8 lost. I dont see us any worse than 7. Even if georgia and lsu are ahead of us, they both have beatings coming at the hands of bama. We need usc to beat nd and that would help our sos and hand nd the loss we need. Still need other help, but keep winning and even if we miss the top 4, a ny6 bowl is ahead of my expectations. Win and they will come!

Polls are out and we moved up to # 7...ahead of Georgia. We will most likely drop a spot next week because of the bye. For some reason, week 6 or week 7 usually sees lots of top 10 teams lose....but the next week, seems like everyone wins. I agree it is early, but i am happy with how we are positioned.....I say lets get by with it as long as we can.

Texas is not a playoff team IMO, I think the focus is winning the conference; our offensive line is not good enough to compete with the Alabama/ LSU's

I’m happy to make the playoffs this year. Out of 128 collage programs that qualifies as pretty good. This year was always about showing growth and that our coaching staff has what it takes.

Next year I expect a national title.
