Did not know that. I ate at the one in Lockhart. There is a Black's in Austin now Its run by one of the grandkids.
I have been to Franklin's, Blacks, the two in Lockhart and the one in Giddings. Mueller's in Taylor is the BEST.County Line isn't bad. Not great, but not bad. If you go, sit on the deck at the river. Very relaxing and watch the huge fish pass by.
That said, its not much better than Rudy's. But Rudy's is nothing to complain about.
Make the drive to Taylor and eat at Mueller's BBQ. Same recipe/family as Franklins. Awesome stuff.
Nope. Not the one in Llano. The selection of meat is good and usually well qued, but the dipping sauce inside sucks. It's nothing more than tomato juice, vinegar and salt. That's great as a basting sauce for when the meat is on the grill, but beyond that it is severely lacking. And the sides are way too eclectic for my taste. Plus it's over-priced.Coopers bbq
Don't it make you just want to drop a line in the water? LOL those fish are huge swimming by. The sauce there isn't bad, either.BBQ, like women (or men for the women here), varies in taste per the person. In Austin just stay away from Bill Millers and you should be fine.
Austin's a big city, might help to narrow down the area.
P.S. I love the County Line by the Lake, great beef ribs and brisket.
