SEC Bias discussion

A lot of people don't like Jerry Jones, but I'll give him this: he was a starter on the OL for

Arkansas' 1964 NC team.  Dude had to be a pretty tough college football player!

EDIT: Jerry Jones was an All Southwest Conference OL; Jimmy Johnson was an

All Southwest Conference DL
I dislike Jerrah as the Cowboys GM, but I respect his business acumen and savvy as owner.

I'm gonna tune into this show, because I've never seen either him or Jimmy play football. Could be fun to see.

Apparently both Jerry and Jimmy were salty college football players for the Razorbacks.

Jerry fired Jimmy

Jerry fired Jimmy

Not quite that simple.

When Jerry got drunk in a Florida bar and said anyone of a long list of coaches could have taken the Cowboys to the Super Bowl that year, that moment ended the Jimmy-Jerry relationship. It was over right then and there.

Jerry tried to prove the point by pulling in Barry Switzer, and even though Switzer got them to a Super Bowl, he otherwise underachieved with a cupboard still stocked with talent.

Those big, bad SEC defenses getting exposed in the bowl games.

That's cause they're wore out from beating each other up! Don't you know that? $ec baby!

Well Georgia just beat TCU, who was lead by ex-aggy, oops, I mean former aggy, Kenny Hill.

So does aggy claim this as a win or take it as a loss?

Good one!! That brings back memories.  There was a period (before Florida broke through).... when SEC went years without winning the national championship.  This was the battle cry for the SEC during that time.

So the mighty $ec was 1-2 against the BDF in the bowls? Isn't the $ec the much better conference?
