His argument seems to be that the program was in worse condition than he thought when he arrived. He has not made an argument to retain his job from a wins/losses perspective but he did lay down the marker that this group would win a national championship. I will be very interested to see how Charlie's performance at this press conference effects the decision.

I do think he HAS to beat TCU and if Texas trucks TCU I think people will be quite surprised at the support that he has. I have no information to back up this thought. Strictly intuition

The team loves Charlie, regardless of race, and I understand that.  I love everything that he stands for, except the results on the field.  I support him, but not as our head coach, not any longer.  So many players are there, and they are standing with their arms crossed.  I don't know if they just came to make certain their coach was respected, or as a show of support.  I must admit, the press noticed the players right away, and their questions seem more subdued, phrased more carefully, they are phrased with respect.

Most of the players must be there.  I see 25-30,  and I am sure the camera didn't catch them all.

He's standing by the evaluation after Friday's game.  If that's the case, I cannot believe the players' are reacting the way they are.  The announcer said almost the entire team was there.  It looked like it.

Oh, I think he has been told, and I think the player's have been told.

He should have been fired after the game.

If we beat TCU by 70 points its going to be very difficult to make a change and either you are going to have disgruntled fans and alums or players.

Explain to me after losing to Kansas and you still need to review after the TCU game.  What a joke.
