Let's talk football (Game week staff chat)

I saw in another site that Oklahoma is going south with Anthony Hines. Due to numbers. Any truth to that?

Not from what we understand
Reading between the lines yesterday, I'm leaning SB has won the team and with both QB's playing, it really doesn't matter.  But, the tale tall clue, is/was...The starter will be THE starter and get the most action moving forward and we all know a particular goal line package is unlikely to go away.  With that being said, the running game will be the bread and butter of this offense.

How many true freshman see action on Sunday vs ND? And which ones don't see the field at all in game 1?

I dont know about that, but I have finally convinced myself that ND will NOT be able to stop our running game. I have also convinced myself that we WILL be able to do a much better job than last year in controlling their ground game. Fact is, since I am now only taking my own advice I have decided that this game might not even be close.

Yes or No: if we beat ND, we get a commitment shortly after.

Does it really matter to ND who our QB is?  Are CS and staff really trying to confuse ND and their game prep or are they just screwing with the media?

If Notre Dame left South Bend on a train traveling at a speed of 90mph and Chris Warren was running on the same track towards them, would they be able to stop him?

Seriously, how do you see our WRs matching up with the ND secondary (provided the OL gives whichever QB the time)?  IMO, I see the Horns with a HUGE advantage in that area.  On the other side, how does the Horns secondary matchup with the ND WRs?

That's the best matchup for Texas. Notre Dame is weakest in the secondary. If a quarterback can get them the ball they can do some damage.

Texas has come out very flat the past couple of seasons in big games, including Notre Dame, TCU, and Iowa State. Does the level of preparedness appear better than the last two years, or are we in for another letdown? I personally feel like the team will play well from the start, but I still have some concerns.

That's one of the biggest questions for me on this team.  There's really no way to know, but there is more confidence in the building.
