I agree with TeamMayhall's comment here, but I, like, Sirhornsalot, find it offensive that posters may give their opinion, or offer a rumor and then be hammered as if they had made some type of false official announcement.  Most on this board are only posting what they have been told or heard & it's being shared as such with the board. If a poster is told "its a done deal"- that does not mean the poster is saying it is a "done deal" or "it is official", it only means that is the way it was told to them and the sharer believes it is very solid. I realize that until the shared info, as someone said "is posted on three official sites and ESPN, that it might not actual work out as planned. So for one, to call "BS or whatever", in my opinion is expecting a lot of value from info. that is clearly shared as rumor.

I have been reluctant to post much, because I know my ability to misspell (sp) or miss use a word & then be subjected to the ridicule and abuse from some here is ridiculous.  I could not fault anyone for with holding info.  It should make us all reluctant to post.

Does anyone find it odd we havent hired Gilbert yet?  

Why would they make an immediate offer to Cumbie but then diddle daddle around after interviewing Gilbert.

Unfortunately, Coach Strong has a past record of being reactionary and not good at lining up alternative plans. Obviously Gilbert was on the radar but I think Charlie viewed he had Cumbie as a lock. Charlie could also just be exploring all options as his job depends on this hire.In this age, we all (myself included) are guilty of wanting instant results and instant news.

Bobby just posted an update on Horns247. No update so far. He hasn't heard anything lately.

I'm of the opinion that it's gonna be Gilbert.
