Rivals was none too impressed

Most Disappointing Team
Texas looked to have turned the tide within its borders when it locked up five-star outside linebacker Malik Jefferson in December, but the Longhorns didn't quite have the finish they had hoped for. They did flip in-state receiver Ryan Newsome and got four-star RB Chris Warren on Wednesday, which was good enough for the No. 12 spot in the team rankings, but they missed on a few prospects on decision day, including Soso Jamabo and Daylon Mack.

I was basically repeating myself. I didn't "dangle" anything before you. I told you up front that I wouldn't elaborate. That's not dangling. That's cutting it off.

STP referred to Dodds, above. That was in response to him and the fact that he correctly pointed out that Dodds stopped UT from turning aggy in during previous situations. We don't have that obstacle anymore. That's kind of a big thing.
where did I refer to Dodds??

Seriously though, if we were cheating fervently this year, there is no way we get 1 out of 10 possible kids on NSD. There is no doubt there is cheating going on at the moment, but pointing fingers is nonsense when both are doing it. Looking at it objectively, look at our class and tell me who we were in our heads over getting to sign a NSD. Murray had a built-in advantage, Mack always stated he wanted to play in the SEC with a program that will have the talent to win and we were on him early. Christian Kirk- we were on early and he was friends with Allen and became friends with Murray. Justin Evans- we had an agreement with his position coach and offered immediate playing time. Lockhart, Dunning, Pryor, etc. are all solid recruits, but not prospects that will have bidding wars over them. SHA, just admit that your source was overly confident and misread the recruitment. Mack flirted with at least 5 programs in the past year and gave them indications that he was seriously interested in them, but once the luster of the visits wore off, he was an Aggie. He is a passionate kid, almost to a fault, but it is a terrible assassination of character to insinuate that his family or himself are the beneficiaries of dirty play when they were polite enough to give your program a chance in the race after outright eliminating them.

I agree with a lot of what you say. But seriously (the bolded)?

Recruits don't visit Texas because they're polite. They visit Texas, because it's Texas. To insinuate anything else is borderline lunacy and fairly described as bias.

And if you're really concerned about assassination on character, why don't you go frequent TexAgs or The Junction to have a word with many of your fellow Ags that have had nothing but terrible and likely untruthful things to say about Malik, Kris and even your very own Daylon. Because the things they said about these kids is mind blowing.

Crazy to think that Texas was the "most disappointing team".......

Rivals might wanna re-boot their thought process.

99% of those subscribers are anonymous and plenty of posters tell them to step off without restraint. The fact of the matter is that this site has a sponsor who posts this drivel and next to no one steps up and tells him to stop or that he is making statements that he won't ever prove about these kids. Our fanbases have been embarrassing this offseason, it is high time people with some integrity and rational thinking start taking a stand. I have quite a few bits of hearsay about recruits that I refuse to post anywhere because I have no basis to back it up, sponsors should be showing the same restraint.

holyyyyyyyyyyy jumpin jesus...ya know as much as i hate to say this but Oregon haters cant say a damn thing about hatin on PJ Locke on twitter ..but then again Haters gonna Hate.

Ok, so the following is what I was told by a couple of well placed sources regarding some things we saw on the recruiting trail.

Kevin Murray and Kevin Sumblin do not get along. I suspect they will continue to not get along. I think Sumblin loses either way (MLB or helicopter dad). The two have had several conversations that did not end well. In fact, around early December it became a heightened sense of frustration on the Murray side.

Murray has sent four QBs to play for Sumblin. All four have transferred away after disappointing experiences with Sumblin.

So dad made some calls to Charlie and the possible visit was talked about. It was supposed to happen in late December, then early January, before it finally happened. If you follow HIg, this is what he was talking about back then when he said "you'll know it when you see it."

Dad prompted the whole idea of Lodge coming with them to Austin. Dad contacted Mack while the visit was going on in Austin. Papa was showing Sumblin whats up. He made his point, I think.

In the end it still came back to Kyler and there was just too much time invested by Sumblin and too much growing up aggy for Charlie to overcome.
This is my take on the Murrays.

There was never a chance that Kyler Murray was coming to Texas. Kevin Murray was simply trying to show Sumblin who was "boss".

I know for a fact that Kevin Murray was run out of Allen football practices several years. I think he is and will continue to be a "helicopter" dad.

Now im gonna ask this to everybody and BE HONEST for goodness sakes..What Grade will you give Charlie Strong?? on this years recruiting class???
