2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

that explains SHA of why its such of a toss up now between Newsome and Lodge at this point..Newsome will be fine

Gotta get the drama going. I'm glad I don't go there too often. Did anyone think to ask the IT mod why these changed during a period in which absolutely nothing happened? lol

Mack - Texas

Soso - Texas

Kai - Texas

Lodge - 50-50 Texas/Ole Miss

Word - know that you will see lots of things in play that are merely designed to get the click action going during this time. This is dog-eat-dog time for the competitive sites. Right now, about the only site and person I would trust is Hig at HD.
WHAT!  You mean you don't trust me? :(

Im pretty sure that they already had there minds made up already anyways..One thing that Soso is smart in doing is not talking to any media..because he knows they want any information they can pry out of him

Absolutely!

Here is one thing to understand about the few days before NSD.  Most schools will have their mouthpieces (usually a blog scribe that kisses their behind for scraps of info) talking about flips and trends, etc.....

Another factor with regard to texags is that they are, more or less, a mouthpiece for the aggy Program and Ath Dept.

I believe some part of their funding actually comes from there, or someone closely connected

    lol you read my mind Rambo . You came in right on time..I am at this moment eating moose steaks with mash potatoes and country gravy..corn on the cob and biscuits and im washing it down with Blue Starr Beer
LOL!  Honey, let me send you the latest diet craze, here in Houston.

java - I agree with you 90 %, but when I take off my Burnt Orange colored glasses, I realize a few things:

1.  PJ Locke is # 761 player and number 53 safety .... UT deserves better

2.  Strong does not have a Special Teams coach to tell him what ST needs really are  - where have we improved in this area ??

3.  This Quote from last year:  PJ Locke has been getting visits from a bunch of colleges over the past week, including schools like Texas A&M, Auburn and Oklahoma, ... The only offers that PJ has gotten so far however is Northwestern and SMU.

4.  Height: 5'11" Weight: 180 lbs 40 time: 4.5  .... nothing excites me other than he is taller than Quandre Diggs, barely

5.  I have a feeling it is crunch time and Strong and Co. are just trying to give away Scholarships to hit the 25 .... Is Strong falling into bad habits of old ??

 - Does Strong think he is still at Louisville and can play Louisville's competition with # 761 players ??

 - Strong did this the last 2 weeks of last year picking up bodies that were ranked lower than # 451 in the USA ??

... last year was an excuse, maybe even this year was an excuse because Strong has not had 2 full years like most coaches to work recruits for UT ... but I seriously don't like the idea of swinging at bad pitches just to try to get on base - be patient and take a walk
I found this to be one of the most arrogant post I've seen for the 2015 recruiting season. Congratulations, I will be glad to vote for this post as most arrogant if we have a contest.

1. You automatically decide that CS is recruiting a player that is no good because of his rating. According to Rivals Johnson was a three star recruit and the #30 safety in the country. While Locke is a three star recruit and the #46 safety in the country. I don't consider this a great drop in talent for recruiting rankings.

2. Your giving the appearance that Locke doesn't have much in the way of offers. He's had offers from ND, Baylor, Arizona State, Michigan State, UCLA, etc and he committed to the team that played for the National Championship. Either your dishonest about his offers or your not competent looking up the research.

"

3. All you wrote under #5 is BS. Accusing Strong of throwing away scholarships because you didn't like who he offered is bullshit. Charlie Strong in no way gives me the feeling that he will waste a scholarship.

4. I saw on another post you didn't approve of the offer Elijah Rodriguez had last year even though we needed bodies bad. I read Scipio Tex from Feb last year and he believes that if Rodriguez puts in the work, he could be a successful OL for UT. When you have a history of putting a top 20 OL on the field on a consistent basis like Wickline has done then I will take more serious on your disagreements on who Wickline should offer.

This is from an article in the Oregon paper from a couple of weeks ago:

Some quotes from Locke: "Us three stars, were hard workers and don't rely on athletic ability." On being rated a three star, "It bugs me, because I feel it's the reason I wasn't invited to the all American games, the Opening, I just use it as motivation." Another quote, "Once I get my playbook, I going to study the mess out of it. I've just got to put up some numbers in college to make it backfire on the (recruiting) guys for their rating. I use it to push me."

Coach Helfrich did a at home with him a couple of weeks ago, so Oregon still wants him even though he's a three star. You would think they would know better after suffering with a three star QB this year.

If Charlie Strong had us on the path to have a recruiting class if the thirty's like bad teams like TCU, then I can understand post like this where you can question if Strong knows what he's doing. However, last I looked Charlie Strong has us projecting to be a top ten recruiting class. So if there is a choice between believing you that Locke is just going to take up space on the bench or CS and other college coaches that he could be a valuable player then my money is on Charlie.

What bothers me most about the Soso UCLA rumor is that it's origin is, supposedly, from his bball coaches. Okay, if true then what kind of men are they that they would spill the beans about a student who has closely guarded those beans? If I was Soso's dad, I'd be having an in-yo-face confrontation with these clowns.

But, that's just me.

The FSU guys seem to think Locksley is ours.

Latest Update from Noles247:

Josh Newberg's Predictions
QB Kai Locksley
Baltimore (MD) Giman
6-3, 188-pounds

247Sports Composite Ranking: 4-Star, 23rd best athlete and the 336th best player overall

Prediction: Texas

Explanation: The fact that Locksley is announcing a ‘Final Decision’ raises a red flag that a flip is in the works. He’s also got a much easier path to becoming a starting quarterback at Texas than he does Florida State. While he and his family have a lot of respect and admiration for Jimbo Fisher, I do not think he ends up signing with the ‘Noles on Signing Day.

Chris Nee’s Predictions

QB Kai Locksley
Baltimore (MD) Giman
6-3, 188-pounds

247Sports Composite Ranking: 4-Star, 23rd best athlete and the 336th best player overall

Prediction: Texas

Explanation: Confidence has continued to trend up for Texas since his official visit. Locksley respects both head coaches involved in his decision and thinks highly of Jimbo Fisher as a quarterback developer, but the opportunity with the Longhorns is far more attainable than with the Seminoles. I think it is simply a smart business decision on his part since he wants to remain at quarterback.

Higs says our rb depth chart is bothering soso. We have to many backs

Mack is wavering but in constant communicating with us

I didn't realize how much Malik resembles Oprah, but this picture of him is great!
