java - I agree with you 90 %, but when I take off my Burnt Orange colored glasses, I realize a few things:
1. PJ Locke is # 761 player and number 53 safety .... UT deserves better
2. Strong does not have a Special Teams coach to tell him what ST needs really are - where have we improved in this area ??
3. This Quote from last year: PJ Locke has been getting visits from a bunch of colleges over the past week, including schools like Texas A&M, Auburn and Oklahoma, ... The only offers that PJ has gotten so far however is Northwestern and SMU.
4. Height: 5'11" Weight: 180 lbs 40 time: 4.5 .... nothing excites me other than he is taller than Quandre Diggs, barely
5. I have a feeling it is crunch time and Strong and Co. are just trying to give away Scholarships to hit the 25 .... Is Strong falling into bad habits of old ??
- Does Strong think he is still at Louisville and can play Louisville's competition with # 761 players ??
- Strong did this the last 2 weeks of last year picking up bodies that were ranked lower than # 451 in the USA ??
... last year was an excuse, maybe even this year was an excuse because Strong has not had 2 full years like most coaches to work recruits for UT ... but I seriously don't like the idea of swinging at bad pitches just to try to get on base - be patient and take a walk

On field announcers just can't ... just can't. Has never been a logical question asked a player in that moment. What was that with Jim Gray that time? Can't remember now. They feel so compelled. And the viewing public squirms wondering what in the world is fixing to come out of their mouth.
"Can you explain, what you felt, the moment you just won the game all by yourself in that split second, how it must have felt, maybe since a child you dreamed of doing that, can you tell what went through your mind as the play unfolded in that split second, what you must have felt and did feel, what you heard, did you even hear the crowd, were you aware you were even in the game, did you in your wildest moments think about anything else but just being in the moment, did you see a White Light, hear voices, what exactly happened right at that moment, were you out of the body?"

To me, Locke looks like a nickel
Irvin was sort of ideal for that spot

We're sitting on a top ten class right now without some of the commitments factored in that many say we land. Don't know where you are getting off on Charlie falling into "old habits". I don't think there's any way that he thinks he is recruiting like he was at Louisville. Shoot man, back away and look at the current commits. If you don't like this kid that's cool but relax.

I like to think all these recruits recognize the programs they're involved in during the process. It's become a kind of "thing to do." You appreciate the hard recruiting. I'll take a chance it doesn't go beyond that.
We have a very good class already. We will be ranked high, final position to be determined.
Try and remember what it looked like going into mid-November. We were on par with Tech back then. Things have changed since that time.
And its not over.
