Who said anything about his time schedule? I'm talking about his propensity for drawing attention to himself being materially different than the overwhelming majority of other recruits. I personally couldn't care less if or when he commits to UT. I'm just getting the sense he is overly needing attention and thinking that doesn't seem to be a trait that will serve him well at the next level, especially under a system like that of Coach Strong.

Successful organizations have certain traits and one of those isn't having key individuals constantly draw attention to themselves. I'm just getting the vibe this kid might have some trouble if he can't live without constant personal attention.

My youngest sister is 20 and social media is huge for and her friends..my hs age cousins live on twitter. I can see why you may feel the way you do..but I believe you just don't understand the culture, maybe you don't like it..that's okay (I guess), but I strongly disagree w calling the kid an attention whore..

I knew Johnnie when we were both in Jester. In fact I used to kid him about his starting off as a RB as a freshmen, averaging 8 YPC and being forced to move to defense by some guy named Earl. I've kept in touch off and on over the years. I clearly remember him talking about his boys being the terrors of Pop Warner in Southern California back then. I never even had to ask him where they'd go to college at. They'd have signed an LOI with UT in 5th grade.

Thanks for sharing. The way Johnnie expresses himself reveals his depth as a person… far beyond sports, his love for Texas football, his sincere respect for Charlie Strong… and why his sons are such quality young men.

Regardless of decisions and events next Wednesday, UT will have a Top 10 recruiting class.

To achieve that in the wake of an awful 6-7 season is remarkable to me and makes me believe

our coaching staff has the football program trending in the right direction.  We'll get there, folks...

be patient and have faith.  I'm sipping bourbon and branch...at such times I only post The Truth.
