Best thing Charlie and Co. Can do to recruit this kid is to put Heard in an offense he can succeed in.

That is 100% correct.  If Robinson does not see Heard and the UT offense have success and win games, he will question being part of the program when it comes time to make a decision.

Of the QB film I've seen I like the footwork (pump fakes) arm movement, and throwing motion of Matthew Merrick.

Reminds me of a young Andrew Luck. Merrick is the kind of QB I think could excel at UT, with the dominate defense behind him that we'll have.

I'm still not carried away with all this running around as I am about stepping up in the pocket when you can, seeing the field and the coverage, and the arm to nail the pass: lead the catch, put it in tight places, making all the throws, and utilizing a punishing run game. Most any of these QBs will do if the it's a complete team around them. My 2 cents.

Also, forgot... extreme mental toughness and killer winning attitude!
