2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

Why do we keep forgetting we have the number 1 qb from the class of 2014? Merrick, too. Possibility of a transfer and Swoopes. Yes, I know the last one did awful a lot this year but it still provides competition. I too was of the mindset that if we don't get a QB we are screwed but Heard has been putting in some serious work during the off season. All is not lost and it doesn't take away that this class still will be a top 10 possibly a top 5 and even a chance at a top 2 class in the nation. It helps build towards the future. Strong has turned heads. I was at the event in Fort Worth last April when he talked to the fans. He said Texas won't ever lose in recruiting in the state of Texas again and he has proven that this off season. We had an awful year but he still has the top kids in the nation thinking of coming here. The guy never fails to amaze me.
First ) If Heard goes down we have Swoopes.....SMH...You want that train wreck again ?

Second ) "Looking at us" doesn't get squat done on the field. We have to get them to sign.

Third ) Strong has turned heads alright, but if we have to play Swoopes next year, those heads will be turning away from us in 2016. Recruits may overlook 6-7 this year, but  if we go 6-6 again we WILL lose in recruiting the state for a long time to come. This class is crucial, and getting a good QB is a must.

I found this on another Texas free board.

Talked to my Cedar Hill contact this evening about Damarkus. He said Ole Miss stopped by the school this morning to see Damarkus while he was working out. He said Damarkus was not interested in seeing them and coaches had to convince him to meet with them. Even after he agreed to see them, he made them wait until he finished his workout. Aggy showed up at the school this afternoon to see him. My source said coaches again had to convince Damarkus to meet with aggy. He said Damarkus is tired of the recruiting process but also wasn't excited to see Ole Miss or aggy coaches. My source also said Damarkus' father does not like Sumblin at all.

First, not to discount what anyone reports, we have heard tidbits of information for a looooooong time now and it's hard to 100% believe much of it.  SWAHA definitely not discounting your source in anyway, as I really hope this is true.

Second, I think we could make a pretty confident assumption that some recruits are really loving this process and taking advantage of the attention for as long as they can.  Others, like Lodge (allegedly) seem to be getting tired of all the hoopla that is recruiting today.  They would rather it be over so they can move on and get to work.

Finally, with that said, if this does get confirmed, we could base some conclusions on the situation.  Those could be positive or negative for us (the Horns Family).  From a positive standpoint, he's made up his mind to come to Texas and isn't excited to be visited by other teams trying to sway his decision.  Or it could be meaningless, that he's just tired of dealing with the production of it all and wants to move on.  My only question to that is, if he wanted to move on from it, it's easy, just announce where you're going, and make it known that's the case.

Here's to hoping on a LOI from Lodge on the 4th.

Attention: Horn Sports cigar chompers and decision makers - please extend Juan Grande some of my "likes" so that he may continue his relentless recruiting analysis!!!

Mucho Gracias!

FWIW, as I understand it - I believe Manziel's Tweet directly to Kyler was a violation of NCAA rules ... and I wouldn't put it past the NCAA to make an example of JFF if Kyler signs with ATM

Remember the incident of Tebow having an 8 second Hello to a recruit:

What about the fact Diggs tweeted Boyd this past week? Wouldn't that too be a violation?

I don't know. I kind of liked him though. He brought some objectivity. He probably got tired of us around the time A&M beat ULM by 5 whole points.
I was at that game. An Ag buddy that worked for me in Navy took me. He wanted to go to A&M for grad school and asked me if I would write a LOR for him. I did and even followed up with a few emails\calls and he got in. This was in 2012 and he wanted to take me to a game in CS. He was supposed to take me to the Auburn game in 2013 but it fell through.

Man oh man was it interesting lol. If I didn't know any better I would swear Spavitol's first name is "F***ing" and it is as advertised. Needless to say, not one Ag was happy with that game.

It was SOOOOOO hard to not openly root for ULM lol. I just couldn't do that to my friend but what a strange place.

When I spoke with Shevis afterwards I told him I went to an Aggie game. His response was "Did you at least scrub all that filth off before hugging your wife and kids again" lmfao.

Just another reason why Shevis is the man.

I was going to like your post but I'm requesting that Horn Sport EL JEFE extend my likes as well to Juan as well.

Alright. I've been holding my tongue.

I occasionally go and check your post history, as there doesn't seem to be much in the way of parity. I'm not saying that you should be a sunshine pumper but you're as far off on the negativity end as one could possibly be. At some point, if we haven't already reached that point, people are going to stop giving your posts any credibility. Because rather than coming across as an objective Longhorn fan, you resemble what I'd expect an Aggie who is looking to stir the pot to act like. I think I can speak for many who have tried to engage you in thoughtful debate regarding your "interesting theories" when I say, you really need to open your very mind up to differing opinions and more importantly...substantiated facts. Because as somebody who wants others to find you as an intelligible and objectible Texas fan, you're really missing your mark. In the event that you're actually a fan of another team, even A&M, that's fine. We have a few posters that support other teams, including A&M, who are highly respected here. Either way, its not coming across great right now.
Whack his Pee Pee

Not my source.  Passing along what I read.

It's my understanding that players on the team are allowed to make contact.

Regardless, we had alumni such as Justin Turner reacting and tweeting.
