The Longhorn coaching staff visited a handful of uncommitted 2015's today. In the DFW area, Plano West running back Soso Jambo and the Dallas Skyline duo of Carlos Strickland and Anthony Wheeler met with some of the Texas coaching staff today. Out in East Texas Kris and Demarco Boyd received at visit. Though they aren't a package deal, the Boyd brothers have said they would like to play with each other at the next level. The younger Demarco currently holds offers from Texas, Baylor and Florida State.

The Florida Five may not be the Florida Five after all. It has been confirmed that Palmetto Bay Westminster Christian CB Tim Irvin will indeed visit Auburn this weekend. Irvin committed to Texas on January 3rd in front of a national audience during the Army All-American game but since has been heavily recruited by new Auburn coach Travaris Robinson, also known as T-Rob. Robinson is one of two coaches at Auburn Irvin knows well, Will Muschamp being the other. The latest from sources close to the situation is that Tim isn't sure who he likes more, Texas or Auburn.

-----

Texas' junior day is February 14th. A shortlist of juniors have already announced their intentions to attend - Safety Eric Monroe, linebackers Jeffrey McCulloch and Dontavious Jackson are expected. Out of state offensive lineman JP Urquidez announced earlier this evening that he would be in attendance. Once signing day comes and goes, the list will be updated often.

A couple of nuggets associated with your post, which I enjoyed.

Soso is apparently a legit option and has heightened interest. Have heard and others are saying that we take the first two of the three RBs who will commit. To now, I could not imagine Warren getting left out. Now, I do.

Poster on TOS says a tweet from Michael Irvin says Tim's visit is more or less obligatory to his long time friend, T-Rob, but that Tim is all Texas.

It's good to see Gideon have success. He was always a very smart player. Never saw him as a QC though.
