Joy was a standout on the women's basketball team in the late 70s and early 80s. I met one of her daughters at a basketball game last year, really sweet girl. ALS is a hell of disease, nobody should have to go through that. I hope her daughter can find peace with the passing but I know from talking with her the disease had really taken a toll on Joy physically and mentally. Maybe it was all for the best.
