Head Coach Jerritt Elliott: "As long as the players take accountability, we will be in a good position."

Head Coach Jerritt Elliott:  "I think this is our ninth-straight time here. It's a part of the culture that we have. When you're able to do that over and over again, there's not as much emotion that goes into it. They kind of allow themselves to prepare and their nerves are better. Most importantly, they've been through the routines that we try to stick to. It allows them to be focused and play at their highest level hopefully."

Head Coach Jerritt Elliott: "I think this group right now is very, very focused."

I went to a Longhorn event where most of the girls were in attendance.  I didn't realize how TALL they were.  I'm 6'1" and I was looking up at most of them.  Another thing I noticed about them - they are smart.

Texas wins set 2. 1 set away from the Elite 8. Need to come out of the locker room and finish this off, don't give them any life. Pretty crazy stat Texas is now 8-0 in its first 8 sets of the tournament.

CSU doesn't have a middle attack. Very difficult to beat us on just the outside.

Texas wins 3 sets to 0 against CSU in the Sweet 16. Pretty dang impressive performance today as CSU only had 2 losses on the season. Texas is now 9-0 in its first 9 sets in the tournament.

Texas will play the winner of North Carolina and Oregon tomorrow  in the Elite 8 (either team will be a real test). Oregon is the more talented team but they are younger and inconsistent. I would prefer to play Oregon. I think they can be rattled and on any giving day they can lay an egg.

We face North Carolina tomorrow.

Boy everything is setting up beautifully if we can win tomorrow. Washington was upset by Nebraska and FSU was upset by BYU tonight. We would face the winner of BYU/Nebraska if we beat North Carolina. Some crazy upsets have put us in a good position to play a lower seed team in the final 4.

#7 UNC is next up
